Getting Caught Up After 160-Plus Years - Notice to DOD

When you've been really sick for a long time, it's hard to get caught up with your own daily life, much less your work life.  We've all been there.  Something, an infection, an injury like a sprained ankle,  lays us low and leaves us like a beached whale for days or weeks or even months.  

Thankfully, I am back on my feet.  I may not be running anywhere fast, but I am plodding along in my Great-Grandma way, slow and steady.

What I want to share with you today are some very basic things I need you to know and remember -- for your own sake and the sake of your country and your world.  And then, I need you to share this information. Make it ring around the world.  

During this period of enforced rest I have had time to think about our world's situation.  It's not just America that got blown off course 160 years ago.  The entirety of western civilization was illegally and immorally usurped by the British Crown and related commercial interests.

Our British brethren bit the bullet in the years immediately following 1840 when the marriage of Queen Victoria to Prince Albert left the fortunes of Britain at the mercies of the German Saxe-Coburg-Gotha House of Wettin.  This quiet invasion by German industrialist interests paved the way for the enslavement via "enfranchisement" of millions of working class British, Irish, and Scottish (formerly) free men. 

The money the German-run British Government raised by enslaving the folks back home and seizing title to their private property assets for use as government collateral, was used for the conquest of the Indian Subcontinent and to promote the "American Civil War". 

The Mercenary Conflict we have been taught to call "The American Civil War" and the British-Bar member, Abraham Lincoln, who was never eligible to serve as the actual American President, were used to create a similar take-over, only by fraud, in this country.  

The "civil war" left our country occupied by our own U.S. Army and under the control of a British territorial military regime similar to the Raj in India ---  with almost nobody here being the wiser.  

Lincoln, who never had any authority beyond that of a "President" of a British Territorial Corporation, bankrupted the consortium of American States-of-States organizations that he controlled as "the Union" during the Civil War---- the day after he issued his infamous first "Executive Order", General Order 100, the Lieber Code, which left this country at the mercy of the Union Army. 

There are no provisions for "Executive Orders" and no "Emergency Powers" bequeathed to any Federal Subcontractors under our laws and contracts.  The military dba "U.S. Army" and all other branches have cause to know this and no further excuses. 

This criminal fraud scheme pulled off with the assistance of treasonous U.S. Army Generals Ulysses S. Grant and William Tecumseh Sherman and the members of Lincoln's Cabinet and the members of the infamous Rump Congress was orchestrated by the same German-Continental-Industrialist interests that bilked Great Britain.

Then as now, the men behind this were war-mongers, industrialists, and transnationals who didn't care a fig about their own countries or people.  Like John D. Rockefeller, they were rapacious businessmen with no thought or morality beyond their own religion of profit. 

When the Scottish Commercial Corporation doing business as "The United States of America --- Incorporated" went bankrupt in 1906, the Schemers had already arranged to set up a new base of operations for themselves in Puerto Rico, and planned to use the results of the Insular Tariff Cases (1900-1904) to justify their actions.  

They did the same thing to Australia at the same time, setting up an offshore base of operations for their Territorial Corporation's "Government" on Norfolk Island, while acting as "Australia, Incorporated", and usurping against the lawful government of the actual country, Terra Australis.

Bear in mind that these same lawless commercial corporations did the same thing in Puerto Rico and used it as an offshore base to conduct pirate and privateering operations against the American States and people.  They did the same thing in New Zealand and other prior Commonwealth countries.  They did the same thing in Japan after WWII and they did the same thing in most of Western Europe.  

We have all been under an illegal, immoral, and unlawful foreign military occupation regime, complete with oppressive unauthorized "military districts" and unauthorized "military district courts" misaddressing members of the General Public.  This has all been master-minded by the Government of Westminster and the Privy Council acting under the influence of the German House of Wettin actors and their Dutch and Vichy French Allies. 

All of this crime has been accomplished by "service corporations" --- foreign commercial corporations in the business of providing "governmental services" including military services for hire. 

They simply didn't tell our boys and girls that they would be hiring out as cheap commercial mercenaries when they signed up to serve in the U.S. Army and other branches of service organized under the auspices of Federal Corporations registered in Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, or the Municipality of Washington, DC.  

Here is just a partial analysis of "Department of Defense" aka, "DOD", as a foreign commercial corporation controlling among other things: 

NIH, CDC and FDA, Social Security, Health and Human Services including Indian Health, Railroads, National Transportation Safety, Bonneville Power, Nuclear Regulation Agency, DOE Petroleum Reserves, BLM, Bureau of Reclamation, DOEducation, FBI, DEA, DOJ, US Attorneys Army, Army Reserves, Corps of Engineers, Navy Exchange Service Command,  Air Force, NSA, Secretary of Defense, Civilian Personnel Advisory Service, Strategic Command, and "Congress" --meaning the British Territorial United States "Congress"--- are under DOD.

So when you look for what is wrong with this country, who is responsible? 

A foreign commercial corporation operating as the Department of Defense, which is acting with no granted authority or lawful position as "a" government, much less any position as our government. 

As you can see from the list above, the worst perpetrators of mayhem and injustice in this country, including those organizations responsible for the "pandemic" are all under the thumb and forefinger of the "DOD", as are the infamous FBI and DOJ.  They are all nothing but foreign commercial corporations without a shred of actual lawful authority and not even any actual approved service contract anywhere in sight. 

You will also note, that even though every single officer in our Officer Corps knows that he or she is supposed to be operating under civilian authority, they have successfully undermined every form of civilian authority by taking over their own "Congress" and by changing the Judicial Oaths of Office so that the Judiciary is no longer obligated to function in a manner agreeable to the Federal Constitutions. 

We have recently confirmed that these same commercial corporations have set up shop in the Mariana Islands with the clear intention of creating an "Internal Revenue Service" in China and Japan to fund their takeover efforts there, and also have confirmed their activities in concert with "NATO, INC." in Ukraine --- all illegal, immoral, and unlawful operations comprising commercial mercenary operations involved in arms trafficking, drug smuggling, human trafficking, illegal bioweapons production and research,  treaty violations, organ harvesting, adrenochrome production and other criminal activities.  

These criminal organizations do not represent us and do not represent our government.  They are rogue commercial mercenary organizations that must be held accountable by the American States and People --- and by their own internal organizational command structure.   

Now that you are fully aware of who and what is causing all the problems, it's time to take action.  

And this brings us to the "rest of the story" that you all need to know and remember. 

A hundred and sixty some years ago when all this rot began, corporations were rare.  All forms of corporations have proliferated like cancers in the decades since the Civil War and have become both predatory toward the General Public that supports them and increasingly criminal in nature overall. 

DOD, INC. isn't the only problem.  There are numerous other "service corporations" that have failed to be service-oriented, have failed to honor the obligations of service to this country, and which deserve to be fully and permanently liquidated.  

The creation of all these forms of corporations did not take place in a vacuum or without widespread public debate.  As all corporations are legal fictions they are all created in the Jurisdiction of the Air and they are all subject to liquidation under Ecclesiastical Law.  They are all required --- as a condition of their existence -- to function "lawfully", which is a much higher standard than to function "legally".  

Thus, when faced with out-of-control commercial corporations and corporations of other kinds that are rampaging around murdering people for profit, the immediate and appropriate action is to demand their liquidation and return of their assets to the control of the civilian government.  

This is why we take our claims and complaints to the Vatican Chancery Court and the reason why we hold the Pope and the Roman Curia responsible for liquidating the WHO, INC., the DOD, INC., and other offenders.  They are the ones responsible for the existence of all these corporations and they are the ones obligated to discipline and liquidate any and all corporations that threaten natural life and lawful peace on this planet. 

Remember who is responsible for corporations and which form of law applies to liquidating those corporations that go rogue.  Most people have been amazed to learn that these matters are held under Ecclesiastical Law.  Don't forget.  If you forget the controls placed upon these organizations they can run rampant and destroy the entire planet for lack of a competent complaint against them.  

All American Officers and Employees of the Department of Defense/DOD are hereby placed on Notice and demand of their Oath to defend the Constitutional Guarantees that the American People are owed against all enemies both foreign and domestic, to defend our borders, to remove politicians acting in treason against this government, to return our assets and Good Names to us unharmed, and to in all ways honorably acquit your duty owed to the General Public and our civilian State Governments. 

Any Officers, Enlisted, or Civil Service Employees or Employees of Federal Subcontractors or Agencies caught participating in anti-American activities, attacking members of the General Public, committing acts of arson, poisoning food or water resources, or undertaking any other other hostile commercial mercenary activities on our shores, allowing military district personnel including Military District Courts formed in May of 1865 and thereafter to misaddress Americans,  promoting Bills of Attainder, engaging in illegal demands and confiscations and unauthorized nonconsensual hypothecation of debt, licensing and registration of private persons under color of law, or in any other way harming or imposing upon or impersonating their actual employers, will be held individually and commercially and personally 100% liable to the fullest extent of international and Public Law.  

This includes but is not limited to activities of the "Department of Defense"
/DOD,  "Department of Justice"/DOJ and the "Federal Bureau of Investigations"/FBI, the British Territorial "Congress", NIH, CDC, "United States Treasury", and all and any other franchises, subsidiaries,agencies, and affiliates of any foreign governmental services corporations operating in this country. 

Among the other issues to be addressed immediately are: 

(1) Return of our gold and silver assets to our control; 

(2) Settlement of a consensual and equitable agreement regarding use of actual private assets and credit resources by the Global Federal Banking System and/or the immediate arrest of those responsible for avoiding a new contract since 2005 for financial crimes and malfeasance; 

(3) Return of American Land Patents to Americans; 

(4) Closure of Military Districts in the States; 

(5) Closure of Military District Carpetbagger Courts that were promoted beginning in May of 1865; 

(6) Access to new formal military tribunals for the arrest and prosecution of foreign nationals and undeclared foreign agents engaged in crimes in our States of the Union; 

(7) a new American military Paymaster contract; 

(8) Return of all implied public trust interests owed to the individual Americans and the American States; 

(9) an immediate end to all and any prosecution of the January 6th visitors to the Municipality of Washington, DC.--- Americans who had every right to be there; 

(10) absorption of the Municipality of Washington, DC and District of Columbia back into the States of the Union; 

(11) Arrest of members of the British Territorial "Congress" who refuse to take the actual Public Oath of Office; 

(12) Arrest of members of the Judicial Service who refuse to take the Public Oath of Office as stated prior to 1990; 

(13) Return of all illegally confiscated American private property; 

(14) Immediate dropping of all Legal Presumptions and conventions of impersonation related in any way to the defunct 1868 Scottish Commercial "Constitution" and its Fourteenth Amendment, Social Security, and Internal Revenue prosecutions; 

(15) Arrest of members of the Bar Association who are working for Federal Corporations or federally-connected State-of-State Corporations without complying with the Foreign Agent Registration Act; 

(16) cessation of all civil and criminal prosecutions by military district and foreign state-of-state courts misapplied to American civilians; 

(17) release of all foreign occupied territory to the appropriate civilian national governments; 

(18) immediate cancellation of all federal grants or aids aimed at censoring free speech, interfering in matters of private religion or health, and otherwise trifling with the rights and prerogatives of free people in this country or anywhere else on Earth; 

(19) arrest of the members of the "World Economic Forum" and any members of their "Future Leaders" program who have insinuated themselves as corporate actors engaged in usurpation against legitimate national governments; 

(20) cancellation of private corporation elections masquerading as and substituting themselves for Public Elections; 

21) arrest and prosecution of all and any organizations and individuals involved in the arson and looting and rioting and destruction which took place throughout this country in 2020; 

(22) assistance to the actual national and international government of this country to maintain order, provide accurate education, and complete the reconstruction of our government by 2025; 

(23) immediate cessation of all bioweapon development and deployment; 

(24) immediate full-scale reparation and medical assistance to repair damage done by the plandemic "exercise" and 5G radiation; 

(25) arrest and prosecution of all actors responsible for deployment of these bioweapons and electronic weapons against the American civilian population; 

(26) immediate repair and reorganization of our currency and credit to maintain the value and viability of the American Silver Dollar and our American Federation Dollar (gold-backed); 

(27) an end to all pretensions of "war" --- commercial mercenary war or otherwise --- on American soil; (28) arrest and deportation of all persons who have illegally entered this country in the last three years.   

We, the people, are pissed off and tuned in. Everyone who has volunteered to fill a public office needs to fulfill it and do a straight job of it or else.  This especially applies to all members of Bar Associations and court administrations and "private security personnel operating as police forces".  No more funny stuff.  None at all.  Same for the phony politicians who have been operating their corporations "as" the government owed to the people of this country. 

We have every right and reason to start stretching necks.  We have chosen to maintain the Public Law and to seek peaceable redress for a gross plentitude of wrongs addressed to us by our own Public Employees and purported Allies.  

Members of the military -- you've been caught operating as an illegal mercenary force. Your corporations are being liquidated. If you want your lives, your pensions, and your benefits now is the time to knock off all the crap and get straight and get moving on the laundry list presented above.

The Simple Truths

For many years now, I have realized and have shared the news, that the truth is always simple. 

Always. 

The truth is like rain falling, crystalline, plain, unembellished, uncomplicated, no big words needed, nothing confusing about it, just matter-of-fact, and there it is. 

All the complexity and jargon and "terms" and legalese and things like PARSE SYNTAX and confusions about the plain meaning of words like "person" and "state" and "YOUR NAME" are always associated with fraud.  

There is nothing at all confusing about the truth of our American History.  

Plainly stated in the records of the Second Continental Congress: 

As of September 1776, the former colonies were doing business under three names: 

(1) the United States; 

(2) the States of America; 

(3) The United States of America.  

The names "United States" and "States of America" were used to conduct business of a general nature, such as requisitioning shipments of food for the Army.  The name "The United States of America" was used to conduct mutual business for the states in international and global venues --- including diplomacy, trade agreements, and similar outreach to other countries and business pertaining to the states as a group combining their leverage and seeking their mutual benefit. 

In January of 1777 the idea of adding to this basic complement of business names/identities by creating a Confederation in addition to the already-existing Federation doing business as The United States of America, began.  

Discussions about the pros and cons of adding a Confederation to the business mix continued for four years until the Confederation was finally created and approved in the spring of 1781.  

It is apparent from the discussions and records related to all of this that -- contrary to what many Americans have mistakenly believed -- The Articles of Confederation served only to create a Confederation of States-of-States, and a new "doing business as" entity designed to allow the states to mutually enter into commercial business arrangements.  

The Confederation didn't replace anything.  It simply added to the mix of "doing business as" options that the states created for themselves. 

There is no mystery involved.  It's all plainly stated in the public records and discussions leading up to the creation of the Confederation which was described as "an adjunct to the Federation of States".  

The Confederation did business under the name "States of America" which had been in use since 1776 for common business and trade; after the adoption of The Articles of Confederation, the states began doing their mutual commercial business under the same name.   

When the Constitutional Conventions and all those discussions took place, the States of America stepped forward as the American Federal Subcontractor, which resulted in the Federal Constitution of 1787, known --- appropriately --- as The Constitution for the united States of America.  

Thus, the States of America, which was one of the operational "doing business as" names of the states from 1776 onward, and which was also the "doing business as" name used to conduct commercial business for the States-of-States making up the Confederation, was the Operator of the Federal Republic under the 1787 Constitution.  

There is nothing confusing, complex, or obtuse about any of this.  And there is nothing to argue about.   Anyone who cares to see it and prove it for themselves needs to dig through the committee meetings and minutes of the Second Continental Congress and the Constitutional Convention of 1787. 

It will immediately become apparent that The Articles of Confederation created  a "Confederation" of States-of-States --- commercial corporations employed by each of the respective States--- acting quite apart from and existing in addition to our Federation of organic States of the Union.  This Confederation of commercial business entities was well-suited to oversee and provide the services anticipated by The Constitution for the united States of America.  

It provided those services faithfully from 1787 to 1860-61, when the Confederation fell apart and the respective member States-of-States separated into two groups: the Northern States-of-States, including, for example, The State of New York and The State of New Jersey, adopted the deceptive name of "the Union" while the Southern States of States, including, for example, The State of Virginia and The State of North Carolina, formed the Confederate States of America.   Please note the name, again --- States of America. 

Anyone and I do mean anyone who can read and who is sufficiently inspired, can obtain access to the records through the Library of Congress and associated archives.  It's all public record. 

So all those who have been waving their hands and talking through their hats and trying to say that I made all this stuff up "without evidence"  are invited to be responsible people and consult the public records that I base my findings upon.  If, Ron Vrooman and his band of Merry Men then have any questions and think that I misunderstood the records of the Second Continental Congress and the 1787 Constitutional Convention and the minutes of the Confederation meetings that resulted in the Southern members leaving the organization --- etc., they can bring their ideas forward for debate.  

I have been a responsible person and I have read the archives and I do believe that I have it right.  And I won't put up with anyone thinking that I just waved my hands and made things up "without evidence".  My evidence is the entire archived record of the primary documents.

The one from Mount Sina, engendering unto bondage, which is Agar: for Sina is a mountain in Arabia, which hath affinity to that Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But that Jerusalem which is above is free, which is our mother. For it is written: Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not: break forth and cry, thou that travailest not; for many are the children of the desolate, more than of her that hath a husband. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. But as then he that was born according to the flesh persecuted him that was after the spirit, so also it is now. But what saith the scripture? Cast out the bond-woman and her son: for the son of the bond-woman shall not be heir with the son of the free-woman. So, then, brethren, we are not the children of the bond-woman, but of the free: by the freedom wherewith Christ hath made us free.

EXPLANATION  It was the common custom, in the days of the patriarchs, for a man to have more than one wife. This was permitted by God, partly because they and their descendants would hardly have been satisfied with one marriage, (Matt. XIX. 8.) partly because bigamy was a means of promoting the increase of the people of Israel, typical of the future increase of the children of God. Thus Abraham had two wives, who had each a son; of these Ismael was born to Abraham from his bond-woman Agar, in the natural way; the other, Isaac, the son of the free wife Sara, was born in a supernatural manner according to the promise, (Gen. XVIII. 11. 14. ) that she by the grace of God, although aged, would give birth to a son. These two women with their sons were types, as St. Paul says, of the two Testaments: Agar the bond-woman typified the Old, Sara, the free-woman, the New Testament; the son of Agar, the Jews, the son of Sara, the Christians; for the Jews, like Ismael, are descendants of Abraham by natural descent, but the Christians, like Isaac, by grace. The Old Testament gave birth only to servants; for the Jews obeyed the commandments of God through fear of punishment, and in hope of temporal reward; the New Testament, the Jerusalem from above. that is, the Christian Church, gives birth to children who willingly and through love obey the commandments of God. Although the Christian Church, the New Jerusalem, chosen from heathenism, was in the beginning barren, as was Sara, she gives birth, by the grace of God and through His apostles, to more children than the Jewish Church, which was so long the Church of God, that is, more were converted to Christianity from the Gentiles than from the  Jews. The latter even hated and persecuted the Christians, as did Ismael his brother Isaac. For their hardness of heart they were cast out by God, like Agar and her son; that is, after the destruction of Jerusalem the Jews were dispersed to all parts of the world. Let us, therefore, give thanks to God, that through Jesus we have become the free children of our heavenly Father, who through love fulfil His holy will by which we shall be saved.

ASPIRATION Give me the grace, O Jesus, that by prayer and fasting, and patience in all adversities and persecutions, I may be made less unworthy of Thy passion; that I may not, one day, be cast out by Thee, but become worthy of Thy divine promise and Thy eternal consolation in the heavenly Jerusalem.

GOSPEL (John VI. 1-15.) At that time, Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is that of Tiberias; and a great multitude followed him, because they saw the miracles which he did on them that were diseased. Jesus therefore went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples. Now the pasch, the festival day of the Jews, was near at hand. When Jesus therefore had lifted up his eyes, and seen that a very great multitude cometh to him, he said to Philip: Whence shall we buy bread that these may eat? And this he said to try him; for he himself knew what he would do. Philip answered: Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one may take a little. One of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, saith to him: There is a boy here that hath five barley loaves and two fishes: but what are these among so many? Then Jesus said: Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. The men therefore sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to them that were set down: in like manner also of the fishes, as much as they would. And when they were filled, he said to his disciples: Gather up the fragments that remain, lest they be lost. They gathered up, therefore, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above to them that had eaten. Now those men, when they had seen what a miracle Jesus had done, said: This is of a truth the prophet that is to come into the world. Jesus therefore when he knew that they would come to take him by force, and make him king, fled again into the mountain himself alone.

Why did Christ try St. Philip?

To test his faith and confidence; to instruct us that before seeking supernatural means, we should first look for natural ways of providing; that the miracle of the multiplying of the loaves should be more marvelous to the people from having seen there was no provision; and that we may learn to trust in God, who is a helper in due time in tribulation. (Ps. IX. 10.)

What signs did Christ make use of in this miracle, and why?

According to St. Matthew (XIV. 19.) He lifted up His eyes to heaven, by which He showed that all good gifts come from above; He gave thanks, thus teaching us to give thanks to God for all His blessings. "The table," says St. Chrysostom, "that is approached and is left with prayer will never know want, but the more richly yield its gifts." He blessed the bread showing us that the divine blessing increases all things.

Why did Christ require them to gather up the fragments that were left?

That they should not be wasted or destroyed; that the greatness of the miracle should be made evident by the quantity of the fragments; and that we might learn to honor the gifts of God, even the most insignificant, and if we do not ourselves need them, give them to the poor.

Why did Christ, after this miracle, flee from the people?

Because after this miracle the people recognized in him the Messiah, and would have made Him king. He wished to teach us to flee from praise and honor, and in all our actions seek not our own, but God's glory.

CONSOLATION IN POVERTY

This gospel gives the account of Christ providing for those who followed and listened to Him, which is indeed consoling for the poor. God from the beginning of the world has always cared for His own. For the aid and comfort of His chosen people in time of famine God sent Joseph, the son of the Patriarch Jacob, in advance into Egypt: (Gen. XLV. 5.) for forty years He fed the children of Israel in the desert with bread from heaven; (Deut. VIII. 2. 3.) He fed the Prophet Elias by a raven; (III Kings VII. 6.) and thought of Daniel in the lions' den. (Dan. XIV. 37.) In the New Testament God shows His merciful care for His own, because in great need He fed them marvelously through angels, men, and even animals, as we frequently see in the lives of the saints. Truly has David said: God forsakes not the just, I have been young, and am now old: and I have not seen the just forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread, (PS. XXXVI. 25.) that is, one who sincerely serves Him, and seeks before all the kingdom of God a n d His justice, as Christ commands. (Luke XII. 31.) Strive to be a faithful child, and you will have God for your father, and with King David you can cast your care upon the Lord, and He will sustain you. You must not think it is enough to pray and trust in God, He demands that you should use your strength to receive help, for if any man will not work, neither let him eat. (II Thess. III. 10.)

ASPIRATION  In Thy omnipotence and goodness, O my God, I put my trust, firmly believing that if I fear Thee, serve Thee faithfully, and avoid evil, I shall not be abandoned in poverty, but receive many good things. Amen.

INSTRUCTION ON PREPARATION FOR EASTER

Now the Pasch the festival day of the Jews, was near at hand. (John VI. 4.)

If we would sing a joyful Alleluia with the Church on the festival of Easter, we must fulfill her desire, and prepare ourselves to celebrate it worthily. Therefore, we should shun improper, clamorous meetings, and retire often to pray in solitude, especially to meditate on the bitter sufferings of our Saviour, for when man is alone, God speaks to his heart. (Osee. II. 14.) We should carefully examine our conscience, and consider how we stand before God, for upon this day shall be the expiation for you, and the cleansing from all your sins: you shall be cleansed before the Lord; for it is a Sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls, that is, by fasting, watching, and praying. (Lev. XVI. 30-31.) From this Sunday until Easter we should fast more strictly, give more alms to the poor if we are able, or if poor ourselves, bear our poverty more patiently, offering it to Christ in union with His poverty, His hunger, thirst, &c. ; we should make a sincere and contrite confession, and purify our heart from the old leaven of iniquity, that we may keep the Easter meal with Christ in the unleavened bread of purity and truth. (I Cor. V. 7. 8.) For this end we should incite ourselves to holy desires, rise from sin, which is the death of the soul

The Introit of this day's Mass, which begins with the word Oculi, is the prayer of a soul imploring deliverance from the snares of the devil:

INTROIT My eyes are ever towards the Lord: for he shall pluck my feet out of the snare: look thou upon me, and have mercy on me, for I am alone and poor. To thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul: in thee, O my God, I put my trust: let me not be ashamed. (Fs. XXIV.) Glory be to the Father, etc.

COLLECT  We beseech Thee, Almighty God, regard the desires of the humble, and stretch forth the right hand of Thy majesty to be our defense. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, etc.

EPISTLE (Ephes. V. 1-9.) Brethren, be ye followers of God, as most dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath delivered himself for us, an oblation and a sacrifice to God, for an odor of sweetness. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not so much as be named among you, as becometh saints; nor obscenity, nor foolish talking, nor scurrility, which is to no purpose; but rather giving of thanks: for know ye this, and understand, that no fornicator, nor unclean, nor covetous person, which is a serving of idols, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words; for because of these things cometh the anger of God upon the children of unbelief. Be ye not therefore partakers with them. EXPLANATION The apostle requires us to imitate God, as good children imitate their father in well-doing and in well-wishing; besides he declares that all covetousness, fornication, all disgraceful talk and equivocal jokes should be banished from Christian meetings, even that such things should not be so much as mentioned among us; because these vices unfailingly deprive us of heaven. He admonishes us not to let ourselves be deceived by the seducing words of those who seek to make these vices appear small, nothing more than pardonable human weaknesses; those who speak thus are the children of darkness and of the devil, they bring down the wrath of God upon themselves, and all who assent to their words. A Christian, a child of light, that is, of faith, should regard as a sin that which faith and conscience tell him is such, and must live according to their precepts and not by false judgment of the wicked. Should any one seek to lead you away, ask yourself, my Christian soul, whether you would dare appear with such a deed before the judgment-seat of God. Listen to the voice of your conscience, and let it decide, whether that which you are expected to do is good or bad, lawful or unlawful.

ASPIRATION  Place Thy fear, O God, before my mouth, that I may utter no vain, careless, much less improper and scandalous words, which may be the occasion of sin to my neighbor. Strengthen me, that I may not be deceived by flattering words, and become faithless to Thee.

GOSPEL (Luke XI. 14.-28.) At that time, Jesus was casting out a devil, and the same was dumb. And when he had cast out the devil, the dumb spoke, and the multitudes were in admiration at it. But some of them said: He casteth out devils by Beelzebub the prince of devils. And others tempting, asked of him a sign from heaven. But he seeing their thoughts, said to them: Every kingdom divided against itself shall be brought to desolation, and house upon house shall fall. And if Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because you say, that through Beelzebub I cast out devils. Now if I cast out devils by Beelzebub, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I by the finger of God cast out devils, doubtless the kingdom of God is come upon you. When a strong man armed keepeth his court, those things which he possesseth are in peace; but if a stronger than he come upon him, and overcome him, he will take away all his armor wherein he trusted, and will distribute his spoils. He that is not with me, is against me; and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through places without water, seeking rest; and not finding, he saith, I will return into my house whence I came out: and when he is come, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then he goeth, and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and entering in they dwell there. And the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. And it came to pass, as he spoke these things, a certain woman from the crowd, lifting up her voice, said to him: Blessed is the womb that bore thee, and the paps that gave thee suck. But he said: Yea rather blessed are they who hear the word of God, and keep it.

Can a man be really possessed of a devil?

It is the doctrine of the Catholic Church that the evil spirit most perniciously influences man in a twofold manner: by enticing his soul to sin, and then influencing his body which he often entirely or partially possesses, manifesting himself by madness, convulsions, insanity, etc. Many texts of Scripture, and the writings of the Fathers speak of this possession. St. Cyprian writes: "We can expel the swarms of impure spirits, who for the ruin of the soul, enter into the bodies of men, and we can compel them to acknowledge their presence, by the force of powerful words." Possession takes place by the permission of God either for trial or as a punishment for sin committed, (I. Cor. V. 5.) and the Church from her Head, Jesus, who expelled so many devils, has received the power of casting them out as He did. (Mark XVI. 17.; Acts V. 16., VIII. 6. 7., XVI. 18. &c.) She however warns her ministers, the priests, who by their ordination have received the power to expel the evil spirits, to distinguish carefully between possession and natural sickness, that they may not be deceived, (Rit. ROM. §. 3. §. 5-10.) and the faithful should guard against looking upon every unusual, unhealthy appearance as an influence of Satan, and should give no ear to impostors, but in order not to be deceived, should turn to an experienced physician or to their pastor.

What is understood by a dumb devil?

The literal meaning of this is the evil enemy, who some times so torments those whom he possesses that they lose the power of speech; in a spiritual sense, we may understand it to mean the shame which the devil takes away from the sinner, when he commits the sin, but gives back again, as false shame, before confession, so that the sinner conceals the sin, and thereby falls deeper.

How does Christ still cast out dumb devils?

By His grace with which He inwardly enlightens the sinner, so that he becomes keenly aware that the sins which he has concealed in confession, will one day be known to the whole world, and thus encourages him to overcome his false shame. - "Be not ashamed to confess to one man," says St. Augustine, "that which you were not ashamed to do with one, perhaps, with many." Consider these words of the same saint: "Sincere confession subdues vice, conquers the evil one, shuts the door of hell, and opens the gates of paradise."

How did Christ prove, that He did not cast out devils by Beelzebub?

By showing that the kingdom of Satan could not stand, if one evil spirit were cast out by another; that they thus reproached their own sons who also cast out devils, and had not been accused of doing so by power from Beelzebub; by His own life and works which were in direct opposition to the devil, and by which the devil's works were destroyed. - There is no better defense against calumny than an innocent life, and those who are slandered, find no better consolation than the thought of Christ who, notwithstanding His sanctity and His miracles, was not secure against calumniation.

What is meant by the finger of God?

The power of God, by which Christ expelled the evil spirits, proved himself God, and the promised Redeemer.

Who is the strong man armed?

The evil one is so called, because he still retains the power and intellect of the angels, and, practiced by long experience, seeks in different ways to injure man if God permits.

How is the devil armed?

With the evil desires of men, with the perishable riches, honors, and pleasures of this world, with which he entices us to evil, deceives us, and casts us into eternal fire.

Who is the stronger one who took away the devil's armor?

Christ the Lord who came into this world that He might destroy the works and the kingdom of the devil, to expel the prince of darkness, (John XII. 31.) and to redeem us. from his power. "The devil," says St. Anthony, "is like a dragon caught by the Lord with the fishing-hook of the cross, tied with a halter like a beast of burden, chained like a fugitive slave, and his lips pierced through with a ring, so that he may not devour any of the faithful. Now he sighs, like a miserable sparrow, caught by Christ and turned to derision, and thrown under the feet of the Christians. He who flattered himself that he would possess the whole orbit of the earth, behold, he has to yield!"

Why does Christ say: He who is not with me, is against me?

These words were intended in the first place for the Pharisees who did not acknowledge Christ as the Messiah, would not fight with Him against Satan's power, but rather held the people back from reaching unity of faith and love of Christ. Like the Pharisees, all heretical teachers who, by their false doctrines, draw the faithful from communion with Christ and His Church, are similar to the devil, the father of heresy and lies. May all those, therefore, who think they can serve Christ and the world at the same time, consider that between truth and falsehood, between Christ and the world, there is no middle path; that Christ requires decision, either with Him, or against Him , either eternal happiness with Him, or without Him, everlasting misery.

Who are understood by the dry places through which the evil spirit wanders and finds no rest?

"The dry places without water," says St. Gregory, "are the hearts of the just, who by the force of penance have drained the dampness of carnal desires." In such places the evil -one indeed finds no rest, because there his malice finds no sympathy, and his wicked will no satisfaction.

Why does the evil spirit say: I will return into my house?

Because he is only contented there where he is welcomed and received: those who have purified their heart by confession, and driven Satan from it, but labor not to amend, again lose the grace of the Sacraments by sin, and thus void of virtue and grace, offer a beautiful and pleasant dwelling to the devil.

Why is it said: The last state becomes worse than the first?

Because a relapse generally draws more sins with it, and so it is said: the devil will return with seven other spirits more wicked than himself, by which may be understood the seven deadly sins, because after a relapse into sin conversion to God becomes more difficult, as a repeated return of the same sickness makes it harder to regain health; because by repetition sin easily becomes a habit and renders conversion almost impossible; because repeated relapses are followed by blindness of intellect, hardness of heart, and in the end eternal damnation.

Why did the woman lift up her voice?

This was by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost to shame the Pharisees who, blinded by pride, neither professed nor acknowledged the divinity of Christ, whilst this humble woman not only confessed Jesus as God, but praised her who carried Him, whom heaven and earth cannot contain. Consider the great dignity of the Blessed Virgin, Mother of the Son of God, and hear her praises from the holy Fathers. St. Cyril thus salutes her: "Praise to thee, Blessed Mother of God: for thou art virginity itself, the sceptre of the true faith!" and St. Chrysostom: "Hail, O Mother, the throne, the glory, the heaven of the Church!" St. Ephrem: "Hail, only hope of the Fathers, herald of the apostles, glory of the martyrs, joy of the saints, and crown of the virgins, because of thy vast glory, and inaccessible light!"

Why did Christ call those happy who hear the word of God and keep it?

Because, as has been already said, it is not enough for salvation to hear the word of God, but it must also be practiced. Because Mary, the tender Mother of Jesus, did this most perfectly, Christ terms her more happy in it, than in having conceived, borne, and nursed Him.

SUPPLICATION O Lord Jesus! true Light of the world, enlighten the eyes of my soul, that I may never be induced by the evil one to conceal a sin, through false shame, in the confessional, that on the day of general judgment my sibs may not be published to the whole world. Strengthen me, O Jesus, that I may resist the arms of the devil by a penitent life, and especially by scorning the fear of man and worldly considerations, and guard against lapsing into sin, that I may not be lost, but through Thy merits maybe delivered from, all dangers and obtain heaven
