Proof You Don't Need a Driver's License or Registration Under Your Constitutional Right to Travel

This is the best and most succinct explanation concerning "driving", "vehicles", and "commercial transport" I have seen lately.

Many of you have called or written to me about driving and cars and licenses, etc. 

Among the great roster of impositions created by our run amok public employees and the misapplications of statutory "laws" to non-citizens who aren't engaged in any commercial activity at all, the demands that we all get "Driver Licenses" when we aren't driving and that we "register our vehicles" when its to our detriment and our cars and trucks aren't being used as vehicles --- are among the most widespread abuses. 

This young man in the video posted above does what all of us should do -- keeps it simple, short, and sweet. 

Just the facts, Ma'am. And the definitions. 

You can look up your own State's "Vehicle Code" and the same definitions he found for Arizona.  They are the same in every State-of-State nationwide, and they all derive from the Federal Highway Safety Act of 1956. 

While you are looking up the definition of "driver" and "vehicle" and "commercial transportation" and other key concepts, don't forget to look up the actual code definition of "highway".  

It's always educational and darkly amusing to see how you've been snookered.  

18 USC 31 (a) (6) -- these statutes apply only to vehicles used for commercial purposes.

18 USC 31 (a) (10) -- then defines "commercial purposes". 

Thompson v. Smith, 155 Va. 367, 154 S.E. 579, 581, 584, 71 A.L.R. 604 (1930) defines the right to travel on the public highways and tells us it is "not a mere privilege....but a common right." 

Self v Rhay, 61 Wa 2nd, 261 264-65, (Washington, 1963). All Highway Patrol enforcement is under Code of one kind or another, and all such Code is "constructive contract, not Law".  

Graham v Cummings, 57 Atl. 943, 208 Pa. 616 (citing Herzog v Herzog, 29 Pa (5 Casey) 465: traveling in "non-commercial intercourse" is not covered by the Motor Vehicle Code.  

(You should see the look on the patrolman's face when you tell him you are engaged in non-commercial intercourse.) 

Shuttlesworth v Birmingham, Alabama, 373 US 262 (1962): "If the state does convert your right into a privilege, and issues a license and fee for it, you can ignore the license and fee and engage the right with impunity."  

Here's the one I love most of all, issued in 1796, and showing how far away we have drifted from our understanding of man and Law:  

Cruden v Neale, 2 N.C. 338, May Term, 1796: 

"....every man is independent of all law except those prescribed by nature; he is not bound by any institutions formed by his fellow man without his consent." 

Most codes seeking to regulate and violate our right to travel started out as Jim Crow Laws in the South, where the object was to keep Negroes from traveling freely via a process of licensing their right to travel as a privilege.  

This is, in itself, an illegal and highly discriminatory activity on the part of the State of State, so they tried to excuse themselves and avoid lawsuits by forcing everyone to accept Driver Licenses and Vehicle Registrations. 

One wrong begets another; enslaving one man becomes an excuse to enslave us all. 

Now, for some Magic Words: 

"I don't accept this offer to contract, and I don't consent to these proceedings." 

It doesn't matter when you have a need for them, whether it's a traffic stop or something far more serious, memorize these words quoted above and use them. 

If you are in an actual court setting being arraigned, for example, and there are actual attorneys present, you can add, "I don't accept solicitations, and I don't accept this offer to contract, and I don't consent to these proceedings." 

Have fun, and share this information with everyone who needs to hear, especially the local patrolmen and State Police.  

And remember, if you are "engaged in non-commercial intercourse" --- ahem! --- you don't offer a Driver License nor any Vehicle Registration, because that is a tacit "admission" and acceptance of contract.  

Instead, you give them your State Assembly ID and 

smile and say, "Good evening, Officer. What's the emergency tonight?  I am engaged in non-commercial intercourse and want to get home." 

Uh, um, uh.... 

Until this whole matter of illegal military occupation of our country is settled, they have the right to ask you for your name and address, but that's all. 

The only thing giving them any probable cause to suppose you are engaged in commercial activity is typically the license plate on the car. 

After that they have to get down to proving that you are engaged in commerce, and as you are not, that's going to be hard to do.  

Now that you know their game, you can play it. 

You are driving home with five cheerleaders and get stopped.  What do you do? 

"Hey, girls, are you paying me to drive you anywhere?"  

All five look at you like you are nuts and shake their heads like dogs watching a shooting gallery video game.  

"No way!" says Sheila, "I wouldn't pay to ride in this rust bucket!"

The other girls chime in, "Nah, Tony always gives us a ride home after the game....(snickering)....anyway, Officer, we are definitely not engaging in any commercial intercourse!"

By about now, the average patrolman is shaking his head.  The repeated use of the word "intercourse" has made him turn red half a dozen times.  He doesn't know whether to laugh or be annoyed. 

If there is no whiff of alcohol or weed, he doesn't even have an excuse to make you do a field sobriety test. 

If he's smart, he's going to draw himself up to his full height in an effort to retain his dignity and mumble something like, "Have a good evening, sir. Easy on the gas...."

He will go bother someone else who won't talk to him about commercial and non-commercial intercourse. Easier prey.  Lower hanging fruit.   

Think about all the brutal things that go on, the pat downs and smack downs and abuses of "power" some of these guys inflict, the cars they impound and confiscate for profit, the fines people are made to pay under force and color of law....    

So, protect yourselves and protect each other. 

Knowledge is power, and now, you've got some.

The Most Targeted Assembly in America

Dear Nicholas,

You are correct about the power involved and the necessity to use it, but I don't think Paul is creating "sedition" or "insurrection" --- just inappropriate abuses of power that are case book examples of what he learned from years spent inside the de facto government machine.  

Well, that's over.  If he is willing to continue as a "mere" member, show him some appreciation and slack, please.  We are all somewhat the pawns of unconscious beliefs and habits and debts that we owe. 

Please give your full support to Amy and those who are willing to serve as Coordinators throughout Michigan.  With a better understanding of the role of the Coordinator and better training materials becoming available to all, it should be easier for everyone to keep the train on the track.  

I will share with you all that there is something about Michigan that the military is very anxious to retain control of, and I am not sure at this point why it is SUCH a big deal for them, but I have some surmises. 

Obviously, Michigan's position on the Great Lakes and access to the St. Lawrence Seaway is important.  Obviously, smuggling of all kinds has been a problem in States bordering the Great Lakes for generations. Your many rugged coastlines and proximity to Canada offer opportunities for both smuggling and military operations, such as defending against a military invasion from Canada, which has been tried by Britain several times before.  

But why Michigan in particular?  Why not the other States with Great Lakes shores and access?  Their focus on Michigan has been so tight, so obvious, for so long, that it has forced me to analyze it.  

When I first met with Robert Gillam and other members of the District Jural Assembly on Michigan I was struck by the fact that this entire effort had been put in motion and maintained by former staff members of General MacArthur, who was, of course the Commander of the Pacific Theater in WWII, and the officer most singularly responsible for the loss of the Philippines Islands and the gold hoards that the Japanese acquired there, aka, Yakimoto's Gold, which was actually gold that belonged to our government and other depositors. 

Why would the Philippines, known to be the largest gold depository in the Eastern Hemisphere, and the home of most of our American gold since 1934, be left largely unguarded?   Just waiting for the Japanese to sweep in? Like a big, fat, sitting duck?  

Friends, I think you have a massive gold hoard scuttled away by Navy Officers, hidden somewhere in Michigan.  I would be willing to bet money on it.  And they are still guarding it, for their British Territorial U.S. Government and King Charlie.  

That's my surmise -- that the U.S. Navy that transported our gold to the Philippines in the first place, either transported a big chunk back here before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, up the St. Lawrence, and plunked it somewhere in Michigan, or, they spent our gold on British debts straight out of the Philippines and around the Pacific Rim, and trekked in European gold to substitute for it when they made the deposit in Michigan.   But for some reason, they haven't been able to move it or use it since then. 

Well, they are, if I am right, between the Devil and the Deep Blue.  They were wrong to transport our gold to the Philippines in the first place.  Damned once. And to transport it back and stash it for eighty years-plus with no admission to the American people?  Damned twice.  I think they are working on a Third Strike.  And I even-- myself-- think that the gold in Michigan isn't really our gold from the Philippines, but is European gold that has been substituted for it. 

Another sleight of hand. 

They don't want us to be in Session in Michigan when the music stops, because our State Assembly there would claim it back for America, not Britain.  They couldn't claim it was abandoned property. 

And now that you all know my surmises about the situation and what your government in international jurisdiction has doped out about it, you are better prepared to grapple with whatever untoward influences and influencers come your way.  

If I am right, there's around 8 Billion with a "B" Metric tons of gold in Michigan and they can't get it out of there without some kind of narrative and they can't claim it without some excuse.  I think they planned to quietly place a claim on abandonment on it, using their song and dance that we are "missing" and our government is "in interregnum" but they can't do that with a State Assembly in Session.   

So the next best thing they could do was exactly what they have tried to do three times in a row --- establish a tight knit and highly controlling group of former military and agency operatives in control of The Michigan Assembly, so they could just play dumb, make sure that you never raise your hands, and declare a recess or an emergency to shut the Assembly down --- then just cart everything back down the St. Lawrence, probably to Canada, the British Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico, then "home" to London.  

Judging from the men I have met from MacArthur's sleeper cell, and those who held the first dissolved Michigan Assembly in thrall, and now this --- I would further surmise that it is more complex than just a bunch of former Navy and Military officers carrying out some "personal commissions" to claim booty retrieved from the New World. I suspect that we are also dealing with the Templars who run the Inner City of London and Jesuits, who are also interested in controlling and/or stealing gold. 

This explains why the Michigan Assembly has been repeatedly targeted and put through the wringer with control freaks and mummers, who suppress growth and handpick people who will be obedient.  And kick everyone else out. No other State of the Union has been so heavily targeted.  Not even California.  

Now, you know the very probable reason why and why the silent stakes are so high.  

You also know to be on your guard and keep your eyes open, and have some idea of what to look for. 

The idea of a "limited invasion" from Canada has been on the table for some weeks now. This invasion would be, anti-intuitively, by "sea" -- the Great Lakes, rather than just rolling across the midland open borders. Why?  

To reach the location of the gold more directly and extract it more quickly.  To avoid any claim by us of an "Act of War", because the British Monarch is "our" Trustee on the High Seas and Navigable Inland Waterways, and the Great Lakes are Navigable Inland Waterways. 

To give you some other strange insights -- the 8 Billion tons of gold cashiered in your State is most likely not actually gold from American sources.  My guess is that the gold from American sources that was deposited in the Philippines has largely been trafficked away, smelted down, mixed with other gold, hallmarked under different ownerships, and spirited away around the Pacific Rim to pay for British debts and war-mongering and political payola.  

But, at the same time, the Bank of England had to figure something else out.  

Sure, they wanted to steal the American gold in the Philippines from 1934 onward, and also have some plausible explanation for its disappearance --- "The Japanese took it during the occupation." --- which sounds better than, "We embezzled it and stole it for "country and King" and used it to pay off British debts and payola to other countries."  

But at the same time, what if, God forbid, the Americans woke up and came asking about all the gold shipped to the Philippines without our knowledge or consent, purportedly for "safekeeping"? 

The Bank of England had better be able to turn and say --- here it is, safe and sound, jolly good! 

If my observations are correct, there is a much bigger game in motion here.  

I suspect from the quantity of gold that I believe is "deposited" in your fair State of the Union, that it is Prussian gold that was deposited in the Bank of England prior to World War I --- and that substituting the Prussian gold for our long-lost and long-spent gold deposits in the Philippines ---  is yet another dodge for the Bank of England and the Federal Reserve. 

The Bank of England was left with two absolutely huge "unclaimed" gold deposits made prior to WWII by Czar Nicholas II and Crown Prince Frederick of Prussia, ten billion tons belonging to Russia and eight billion tons belonging to the Kingdom of Prussia.  Neither one of those governments survived World War I, so there was nobody to remember those deposits and no "recognized" Successor government to claim them.

Except that the people of both those countries could have booted up competent land jurisdiction governments and reclaimed all that gold as natural successors, if they had known. 

Another big snowstorm, another big "war", and what I expect to find is that the Prussian gold from the Bank of England is likely to be the ultimate source of the gold that MacArthur's fleet stashed in Michigan just before WWII.  Why? 

It just makes more sense.  Gold is heavy.  Why move it all the way back from the Philippines, when you've got vast quantities of Russian and German gold to hide, and can just transport it the much shorter distance across the Atlantic? 

There is little doubt in my mind that MacArthur told his men that the gold they were guarding was from our stash in the Philippines, and no doubt they all believed that.  Why not?  They didn't know about the Russian and Prussian gold, but we do.  

And there is one more twist. 

The gold that I believe is stashed there in Michigan, which they will either attempt to transport to Canada or back down the St. Lawrence, or explain it away as our gold from the Philippines, and which is, most likely, gold stolen from the Kingdom of Prussia, may have ultimately come from India. 

Think about it.  Britain has no natural gold or silver deposits, no precious gems, so how did Britain become so incredibly wealthy and why would anyone deposit vast stores of gold and silver and other precious commodities with the Bank of England? 

Because the British Raj raped India in the 1860's and seized by force all the gold and silver and gems of the Maharajahs. They also benefited for many years by asset stripping the forests and fields of India. That's how Britain and the Bank of England became so rich all of a sudden.  Before that, they were skint and struggling to pay off their many war debts. 

As to the second question, why would the Czar and the Prussian Heir to the Throne deposit their gold with the Bank of England?  They were part of the British Royal Family.

WWI was supposed to be all a show for the benefit of the gullible public. Nobody "in the family" was supposed to get hurt by WWI. It was supposed to be a little dust up to distract public attention away from the bankruptcy of the Scottish Corporation doing business as The United States of America, Incorporated.  And the Mother Country, England, by prior agreement, was supposed to be safe from invasion, so why not put your gold in a safe location? 

This is why I am not pleased or mollified when someone like Charlie Ward tells me to "Relax, get some popcorn, and enjoy the show."

Now, perhaps this will be shocking to you, and I don't blame you if it is, but there is a reason that Michigan has been such a hotbed of un-American activity and repeated attempts to rule The Michigan Assembly like despots. 

Michigan is key to getting their hands on that gold, and if they can't outright take it, use it to spin a narrative that makes them look good. 

What will it be?  Oh, here, here's all your gold from the Philippines, returned to you, America?   Or, look, we recaptured all this gold that was stolen from you by the Nazis?  Or, what seems to be most popular-- we dug it out of cellars and tunnels under Vatican City?  Tripe, of course, all of it. 

They will tell us and the rest of the world anything but the truth. 

The truth is that they stole this immense wealth from India and in the years between 1860 and 1907, they divided up the spoils between Britain and all the associated kingdoms ruled over by Queen Victoria's children.  Only the Czar, a sincere Christian, and Emperor Wilhelm II, who had suffered his family's scorn since childhood because he had a withered arm, cared anything about truth or fairness or honor -- so they were targeted by the others, and replaced by less savory rulers -- Lenin and Hitler.   

So, for the record, if I am right, tomography and Lidar has already revealed the existence of a huge gold stash in Michigan, probably close to the Canadian Border, and the metallurgy of that gold will show that it originally came from India, where it should return for the solace of the Indian people. 

We, Americans, and in particular, you, Michiganders, didn't ask to be in the middle of this. Most Americans don't even know that their gold was trafficked away to the Philippines beginning after the Civil War, much less do they spend ten minutes thinking about what happened to all the wealth of India siphoned away by "Great" Britain during the Raj, or what happened to the wealth of the Kingdom of Russia and the Kingdom of Prussia?  

Unlike the bodies of millions of men, women, and children who have died because of this criminal Empire, those who have rotted away together with their potentials and dreams, and returned to the soil from whence they came, the metals continue to sit wherever they have been deposited, their inert and enduring nature seeming to bespeak innocence. 

We are all left, once again, to contemplate the question -- what do we really value?  Do we value these dead bricks of metal more than our sons and daughters?  More than our lives, our freedom, and our honor?  

This is a peculiar challenge for Michigan to face. It's not anything I would wish upon you, but it's clear from all the control tactics and manipulation you are getting-- and have been suffering from the start-- that Michigan is the most targeted Assembly in America, and must fight harder to thrive and survive as a result.   

We have reason to suspect that Paul Peterson has long known or been told about the gold, but for whatever reasons, chose not to tell you what you are up against, or the extra dangers you may face. I see it a little differently. 

I think you deserve to know that you are not just imagining the violent build up of tension just under the surface of mundane things. All the upheaval in your Assembly isn't because Michiganders are any more knot headed than anyone else. It's coming at you from across the sea, from bankers and brokers and Kings, and as usual, they are after something that you don't even know you possess.  

Now that you know what they are after, you will be better able to block and duck and keep your Assembly moving.  And may God bless all of you.

Dear Aaron -- An Overdue Letter

Dear Aaron, 

Having a Road Map to go forward in a practical manner with a job like constructing the parts of a State Assembly is the equivalent of having a blueprint --- it still matters how you do the work, the order in which you do it, and the "materials" you use.  Please note that a house built of plastic, is still plastic, and the ends don't justify the means. 

Unknown to you, I had probably a dozen contacts with Paul over the past six months, asking him questions he didn't answer and trying to moderate.  Two months ago I became truly alarmed and wondered if he was losing his mind.  So I asked for an impartial evaluation of what was going on in Michigan.  The findings came back -- he was creating powers and even a whole "jurisdiction" for himself, that don't exist; he was denying and infringing upon the equal rights of other Michiganders -- using surveillance techniques to violate their rights to privacy and freedom of association, punishing anyone he even suspected of any ill-intent by removing them from committee work and applying "time-outs" without any real justification for their use, even telling one man --- a man with equal rights to his own --- that he could "never" be a member of The Michigan Assembly. 

Paul actually told an American, a Michigander, that he couldn't participate in his own State Government, in a purportedly free country that requires self-governance.  

I sent Paul a response this morning that I will share with you so that you get a more well-rounded view of the situation:

Email to Paul Peterson, dated April 28th 2024: 

"Yes, Paul, I can and I did. (Remove him from being a Coordinator and dissolve the Assembly -- again.)   I have had to do it before in Michigan, in California, and Missouri, when they got wildly off track. 

We, in America, don’t kill freedom in the name of protecting it.  

You may have had the best intentions, you may have faced some extraordinary circumstance, but the means to an end DO matter.  

Remember, “I may not agree with what you say, Sir, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it”? 

No actual good can come from denying people their basic rights as enumerated in The Bill of Rights, no greater goal is promoted by constant surveillance and making assumptions about their intentions — haven’t you ever read about the right to privacy, Paul?  

Or “Innocent until proven guilty”? 

You’ve been making allegations and accusations and throwing people out of their own Assembly for sins like having coffee with a neighbor.  

Look at what you have said about Amy Hunt, even after I told you no, she is innocent of any such malarkey.  I named her because she still has the right attitude toward her fellowman.  

You, Paul, have been trained as an attack dog and that is not what we are doing here.  It’s not that I don’t like you. It’s not that I don’t appreciate your service.  Or your many technical and organizational talents.  

But we are not at war.  Any “enemies” are pretty much limited to FBI Agents and Snitches and we don’t worry about them too much.  We just keep our skirts clean and don’t promote violence or let anyone promote violence to us.  Let them look all they want.  Let them listen to every phone call and read every email

They might learn something.  They might even switch lanes.   It has been known to happen. 

We do have a FEW out of school CIA and ONI operatives embedded around the country, but they are not politicking — they are just listening and scavenging information about topics of interest.  So let them. 

We don’t mind giving them a free education. 

Our focus, as a result, isn’t on identifying infiltrators or, more to the point, imagining them behind every bush.  Look at the long list of people including me that you have labeled “infiltrators”.  

A little voice should be saying, no, Paul, this isn’t the Cold War and we are not Enemy Combatants.  

Do you seriously believe that any of us work for any foreign agency or government or have any interest in undermining work that we ourselves have set in motion?  

No. We are Americans who are muddling along learning our traditional values and history and form of law — and restoring our government in the process.  

Numerous assumptions you have made simply are not correct.  We don’t operate on or offer contracts.  That’s the Other Guys.  That’s how THEY operate. 

Coordinators are civilian volunteers — not commanders. 

Coming home should be joyous and welcoming and comforting, but you have created an atmosphere of fear and suspicion, instead. 

That’s just more of the same old gulag-style “occupied territory” crap that we don’t want or need, and that we are moving beyond now. 

Mom and Pop are occupying their own territory again, and that’s a good thing long overdue. 

From the beginning I have described as what we are doing as a rescue mission for all Americans.  All.  

Picture them all, flailing in the water, about to drown— and we hove into view in our old three-masted sailing ship with a skeleton crew just in time. 

It may seem ridiculous to some in an age of cell phones and surveillance satellites, but what is true in Law remains true.  Rights really ARE unalienable.  And when you are out in the middle of the ocean any boat that floats is boat enough to praise God for. 

We, Paul, are manning that old Ship of State.  And it’s the Federation exercising the American Admiralty that is making it possible, so stop kicking the Federation and stop pretending that we aren’t doing our job. 

If we weren’t, the whole assembly process wouldn’t be here. Absolutely none of this would be going on. 

Part of our (unwanted and extra, by the way) duty is to guide the States through the process of assembling and because it hasn’t been done in a while, that is proving difficult.  Add in the effects of a lifetime spent under the heels of foreign governments it’s damn near impossible for people to “just know” who they are and how things are supposed to work. 

Imagine my dismay when after making this Herculean effort to go out on the High Seas to rescue these precious people, to find you still barring their way?  Denying and controlling access to their most basic rights?  Their right to participate in their own government — in a self-governing nation.  Their right to free speech and expression.  Their right to free association (they can talk to and associate with anyone they like.).  Their right to equal treatment.  Their right to privacy.  

You’ve been trampling over people who have rights equal to your own, and using misrepresented claims of positional authority to do it.  

Teri should have taught you that Coordinators are all ASNs.  They are all volunteers from their States.  They work with both the Federation and the local Assembly members to build the organizational structures of the traditional and customary American State Assembly.  

And that’s it.  Coordinators are not meant to be autocrats or bureaucrats, either one.  They are meant to function as neighbors, and as friends to all parties involved in this process.  There are no “sides”.  

Like building a barn, it’s a job to be done. 

It’s a thoroughly civilian effort open to people of all kinds from all races, creeds, political persuasions and religions, who stand as traditional Americans claiming their birthright and reversionary trust interest.  

And they don’t have to agree about everything and move in lock-step to agree about the one thing that counts. They are Americans who take their nationality from their State of the Union and stand together to exercise their rights and their freedoms for the common good. 

They are The Michigan Assembly.  

Treasure them and cherish that, but also realize that you were way off course and treating people badly and denying them their most basic rights in the name of The Michigan Assembly—- and there are few things I can think of more wrong-headed than that." 

-- Aaron, when I was a little girl, I was confused about what a "church" was. I saw the building and I heard people refer to it as a church, so, of course, I figured I knew what a church was.  It was only later that my Mother explained that no, the actual "church" was the people, not the building. 

It's the people that ARE The Michigan Assembly -- not the business structure. 

I also want you to know that contrary to what is being alleged by Paul, that I am just acting off-the-cuff, irrationally, or without evidence of what I say, or that I am being influenced by liars and cheats and propagandists -- I want you to know that we have video and audio confirmation that Paul said and did these things -- infringing on the rights of other Michiganders -- so it's not up for debate.  

Indeed, if you ever stopped and listened to the lengthy preamble to every meeting, the one that drones on and on about what you can and cannot say and how long you can speak and what behaviors are tolerated and even dictates the "emotionless" manner in which you can speak --- and thought about it --- you would realize that the most basic rights of the people were being unreasonably and brutally abridged --in the name of what?  A Roadmap?  

Where does it say, in any Roadmap I purportedly approved, that it's okay to deprive people of their freedom of speech and association?  To dictate their freedom of expression and limit their communications to "emotionless" delivery?  And who is to decide what is properly emotionless or not?  What gives that person the right to make such judgments? Does any "Roadmap" --- any piece of paper, ever, confer such authority?  

No. 

That's not the American Way.  

Neither is surveillance of others, the building of dossiers detailing who they speak to, who they have coffee with, or other violations of privacy and freedom of association.  Pardon me, Aaron, but Americans, including Michiganders, can talk to whoever they wish, whenever, about any topic. 

It's not up to Paul Peterson.  Or you.  Or me. 

And it is not up to Paul Peterson to arbitrarily "remove" people from their own State Assembly.  I have made it perfectly clear on many, many occasions that State Assemblies are public government institutions, not private clubs. Every Michigander has the right to participate in their State Government.  

The only exception is temporary time-outs because of disruptive "drunk and disorderly" behavior or behavior that willfully impedes the conduct of business (seeking to displace the Agenda without urgent cause, for example) and even in these cases, time-outs are meant to be progressive -- meaning that you identify the particular behavior and how that is causing disruption and you discuss it with the person and you give them a time-out for a few days.  If they do it again, you go through the same process and put them in a longer time-out.   

Such discipline as we have reflects the equal right of the other members to not waste their time -- for example, listening to drunken rants and having their intended business left unaddressed.  Time outs are not meant to be weaponized and used to deprive people of their right to participate and be heard, or to suppress politically unpopular concerns.

All of that and more was going on in Michigan.

We, our American Government, doesn't use contracts to force anything on anyone. That's the Other Guys.  Our most basic freedom, the freedom not to serve the government, is the keystone upon which all other freedoms depend. 

In other countries, people are bound to serve their government at birth. There is no choice in that matter, and so, they are never free.  One of the halcyon differences between this country and others, is that we individually make the choice of when and if and to what extent we will serve our own government. 

So telling Michiganders that they have to sign a contract before they can be members of their State Assembly is at best a vast misrepresentation and imposition.  Michiganders are free to serve their government -- or not -- on their own terms. 

A simple agreement to abide by clearly stated standards of behavior isn't a contract of obligation to commercial penalties or performances. It's what used to be called "a gentleman's agreement" --- a freewill, good faith, handshake agreement to maintain the peace and respect the equal rights of others, for example. That's the kind of "Membership Agreement" the American Government anticipates, not a lengthy, crippling, contract designed to circumscribe the very freedoms that the members of The Michigan Assembly are owed.  

All of that --and more-- was inappropriate and arbitrary "interpretation" of the Roadmap, and quite apart from the Roadmap itself.  

As for Amy Hunt, she has the right attitude toward people, that indefinable quality of the Right Stuff for the job at hand.  She is reasonable, thoughtful, fair-minded, and strives to do the right thing in a consistent fashion. I have observed her on several occasions -- difficult situations -- and she has always been a servant of the people and a peacemaker, which is badly needed.  

She did not undermine Paul's administration.  She did not put herself forward as his replacement.  She was startled when I named her "out of the blue".  It was not discussed prior to the action being undertaken.  I need and Michigan needs someone of such prudent and even-temper and good intent, to be that kindly and welcoming source of comfort and common sense that one associates with coming home. 

Many of our people are wounded, some beyond repair.  Nobody needs to endure more trauma at the hands of those who are supposed to be rescuing them.  

As for the Federation "meddling" in the affairs of a sovereign state, that is not what we are doing.  It is our (unasked for and unhappy extra) duty to guide the State Assemblies through the assembling process on top of doing our own work at a difficult time in history.  So we are doing it, and everyone concerned can thank God that we are.  

It's because we are on duty that good people who acted in good faith in Missouri are being helped to get their paperwork done and bank accounts established.  People in California aren't giving their hearts and money to another British substitute government.  People in Utah are safe and not being set up as "dangerous insurrectionists".   And people in Michigan aren't suffering severance from their most basic rights and freedoms, in the name of sovereignty, but not in its service. 

Take a look and you will see that the Federation of States has been behind each and every development and action in your favor.  The Federation summoned the States into Session.  The Federation has steadfastly guided and guarded your progress toward full restoration of self-governance. 

Seen against this background, it should be apparent that all this self-interested posturing about interfering in state sovereignty by those engaged in activities that seek to endanger and undermine that same sovereignty inherent in each and every one of you, is just another attempt to blame others for their own missteps and accuse others of what they have, self-evidently, done themselves. 

The philosopher and writer, Hannah Arendt, famously observed that "we become what we hate".  We focus on what we hate.  We learn from what we hate.  We adopt the practices, subconsciously, of what we hate. And then, we become what we hate, and visit all the same violence and criminality that we have suffered ourselves, on others. 

That is not a pattern of behavior that the Federation of States will fall heir to, and it is not something that any State Assembly should be subject to, either. 

We have remembered the past and are not destined to relive it.

The Introit of this days Mass is a canticle of praise and thanks:

GOSPEL (John XVI. 5‑14.) At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: I go to him that sent me: and none of you asketh me: Whither goest thou? But because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow hath filled your heart. But I tell you the truth: it is expedient to you that I go; for if I go not, the Paraclete will not come to you: but if I go, I will send him to you. And when he is come, he will convince the world of sin, and of justice, and of judgment. Of sin, because they believed not in me: and of justice, because I go to the Father, and you shall see me no longer: and of judgment, because the prince of this world is already judged. I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when he, the, Spirit of truth, is come, he will teach you all truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but what things soever he shall hear, he shall speak, and the things that are to come he shall show you. He shall glorify me, because he shall receive of mine, and shall show it to you.

INSTRUCTION As the disciples, in their grief at Christ's going to His passion and death, after the accomplishment of which He was to return to His Father, never once asked Him: "Whither goest Thou?" many Christians, because of their attachment to this world and its pleasures, never ask themselves: Whither am I going, whither leads my way? By my sinful life I am perhaps going towards hell, or will my little fervor for the right, my lukewarm prayers take me to heaven? Ark yourself in all earnestness, dear Christian, whither leads the way you are going? Is it the right path? if not, retrace your steps, and follow Jesus who by suffering and death entered heaven.

Why could the Paraclete not come before the Ascension of Christ?

Because the work of Redemption had first to be completed, Christ had to die, reconcile man to God, and enter into His glory, before the Spirit of truth and filial adoption could abide in man in the fulness of grace. From this we may learn that we must purify our hearts, and be reconciled to God, if we wish to receive the gifts of the Holy Ghost.

How will the Holy Ghost convince the world of sin, of justice and of judgment?

He will convince the world, that is, the Jews and Gentiles, of sin, by showing them through the preaching, the sanctity and the miracles of the apostles, as well as by gradual inward enlightenment, the grievous sins which they have committed by their infidelity and their vices; of justice, by unveiling their error, and showing them that Christ whom they unjustly rejected, is the fountain of justice; of judgment, by showing them their condemnation in their prince and head, the devil, whom they served. This prince is now driven from idols and from the bodies of men, and his kingdom is destroyed in the name of Jesus by the apostles.

Why did not Christ tell His apostles all He had to tell them?

Because they could not yet comprehend, and keep it in their memory; because they were still too weak, and too much attached to Jewish customs, and also because they were depressed; He. therefore promised them the Holy Ghost, who would fit them for it by His enlightenment, and would teach them all truth.

How does the Holy Ghost teach all truth?

By guiding the Church, that is, its infallible administration, by His light to the knowledge of the truth necessary for the salvation of souls, preserving it from error; and by advancing those members of the Church who seek His light and place no obstacle in its way, in the necessary knowledge of truth.

What is meant by: He shall not speak of himself, but what things so ever he shall hear, he shall speak?

That the Holy Ghost will teach us only that which He has heard from all eternity from the Father and Son; His teaching will, therefore, perfectly agree with Christ's teachings, for the Holy Ghost proceeds from the Father and Son and is equal God to them, and that which He teaches is also their doctrine, which is expressed in the words: He shall receive of mine.

ASPIRATION Ah, my Lord and my God! direct my feet in the way of Thy commandments and preserve my heart pure from sin, that The Holy Spirit may find nothing in me deserving of reproach, that He . may teach me all truth, and lead me to Thee, the eternal Truth, in heaven. Amen.
