North Carolina, The Gift That Keeps on Giving

 By Anna Von Reitz

As everyone has noted, The North Carolina Assembly is on probation.  It's a result of their own bad behavior and failure to work together ---- and is mostly due to a propensity to lie about and slander other people in a reckless fashion.

Remember how long and how often I have warned you all about the evils of gossip and why the Assemblies themselves must guard against it?  North Carolina is a textbook case and demonstration of what happens when the members of an Assembly fail to self-discipline in this regard.

Lies and slanders when believed give rise to violent and misplaced emotions, which then spawn equally wrong actions.  And the whole thing spools up into a mushroom cloud of stupidity.

Mutual respect and caring fly out the window and a "chicken yard" mentality replaces the accord that should naturally exist among people who are gathered together for good purposes and for their mutual benefit.

The old "Us versus Them" paradigm slams down like a prison gate, and instead of making progress toward the actual work at hand, everyone's time is wasted on fight, fight, fight.

Nobody gains anything from allowing this to go on.  We are all old enough to know better.  And what we should all do when we observe this going on, is to turn away from it.

Literally.

We shouldn't listen to it.  We should tell the gossipers to stop.  If they don't stop, we should put them on time outs.  And this means regardless of who or what the gossip is about.

That doesn't matter.  What matters is that it's gossip.  And gossip is not something that can be tolerated in an Assembly, if you want your Assembly to thrive.

How can you tell the difference between craftily constructed gossip meant to defame or alienate someone, and an honest concern?

This isn't a trick question, but it is sometimes hard to discern.

You have all heard it at some time or another, "Joe is a great guy, except when....he drinks."  It's the same with gossip.  The people who are most addicted to it are seldom people you would expect to have such a problem, and it's often a story of, "Jane is a great gal, except when....she gossips."

Most, but not all, gossipers are women.  Men can be just as prolific, but it's simply more rare for a man to engage in gossip, and even when they do, it's with a conscious knowledge that they are doing it.
Many of the women who gossip are totally unaware that they are gossiping --- or doing anything that is so wrong and so harmful.

In their minds, they are "just talking" -- apparently with little expectation that someone might take them seriously.

Certain members of The North Carolina Assembly have this addiction and whatever they think might be true, they report it as if it's gospel.

In the serious-minded Federation, when members are accused of stealing records, or thousands of dollars in donations, or making threats against other members --- even "just talking" results in action.  We investigate, because we have to.  That's part of our due diligence throughout this process, a part of keeping the Assemblies and their members safe.

So, it gives me no joy to tell you that members of The North Carolina Assembly ginned up no less than eighteen allegations against other members of The North Carolina Assembly, and caused eighteen such investigations.

And not a single one of those allegations were true.

Now, we have the same people who created the actual problem, the reckless gossiping, going around telling all the other Assemblies how we came in on them and interfered with their process and "caused" all this problem for poor little ole them....

....when in fact, they are the ones who brought the False Witness to us and demanded that we interfere and investigate.  Eighteen times.

This is nothing new, folks.  It's the same old same old Satanist "modus operandi" --- they accuse others of what they are doing themselves.

They are interfering in the operations of the Assembly by trying to split it into two "sides" and divide it into Us v. Them, and of course, they accuse me and anyone else who refuses to go along with that  as being on the other side.

The idea that there are no sides is slowly sinking in after a lifetime of indoctrination.

For several months now there have been two meetings of The North Carolina Assembly taking place.  There's only one Assembly in each State and all the people eligible and declared belong to it by definition so the idea that there are two Assemblies because there are two meetings is more than a little off-base.

The idea that they could go to both meetings or none at all, is similarly a leap into the upper stratosphere of creative intellect.

Most recently, they tried to invoke mandatory attendance, as if they had a right to compel performance from free men and women who are all volunteers.

The people sponsoring the second meeting were so savagely misrepresented and attacked and gossiped about, that they removed themselves from the purported "arena" and sought more peaceful and productive environs.  Nobody here blames them.

Especially when the Federation itself has been so grossly imposed upon and misrepresented, too, by this same group of tongue-waggers.

Let's see, they came in here with serious allegations and demanded that we "take action and investigate" eighteen times, and then, they want to portray this as the Federation "interfering" with them and their process?

It's more like them interfering with us and with the proper functioning of The North Carolina Assembly, too, wasting peoples' time, slandering others, causing senseless controversies, failing to take responsibility for the hurt and damage they've done, and despite numerous warnings to quit this behavior, it just goes on and on.

This past week, the Senior Coordinator, Domenic, stepped away from his position as Coordinator, for health reasons.  Like me, he's no spring chicken and has some serious issues. He needs months of treatment and care and rest and recovery time, and that's all there is to it.  When he is up to it, he'll come back.  He will do less stressful things as he can, but for now and for some time to come, he is not able or willing to be Coordinator.

Anyone with any sense at all should be able to understand this and sympathize and just accept it for what it is, but not certain people in The North Carolina Assembly.

Oh, no, there had to be something forced about this.  The evil Federation must have strong-armed him into taking medical leave....and so on.

In the real world where we are all supposed to live, an elderly man with multiple health issues felt he could no longer take the strain of being Coordinator for The North Carolina Assembly -- and none of the members really have to ask why.

All this reckless gossip to contend with on top of all the work on top of the health problems?

North Carolina is going to have to overcome itself and find some common sense and decency and humility.

They hurt those other North Carolinans who are holding their meetings separately. They lied about them, slandered them, attributed bad motives to everything they did, and then, they wonder why these folks didn't choose to come back?

This situation isn't the result of the mistakes that people on both "sides" made.

This is the result of the gossip and misrepresentation that came afterward.

Now, The North Carolina Assembly needs to take action to defend itself and its membership and its future, by disciplining those who engage in reckless gossip.

Every Assembly in America has to watch out for this same problem.
This could have happened anywhere, but as it happened, it has happened in North Carolina.

Other Assemblies have adopted a no-tolerance for gossip policy and simply stop people from doing it via the use of group dynamics. The members clump together, and let the Gossip know they aren't into it. Turn their backs. Walk away.

There is also the option to impose time outs on the Gossips among us. Explain what they are doing that is wrong. and give them a time out.  If they do it again, give them another talking to and another, longer time out.

There is so much work to do, and the needs are so urgent, that the last thing anyone needs is gossip.

Gossip hurts people.  It destroys trust.  It destroys relationships.  It destroys "good faith".  It undermines unity.  It causes prejudice.  It interferes with our ability to get work done.  It wastes our time.  It destroys mutual respect.  And if you let it, it will destroy your Assembly.

So, Assemblies -- be aware of the danger that gossip poses and make a plan. Talk about it.  And take action. North Carolina is still dragging its feet.  Don't drag yours.  The sooner you put an end to gossip, the better.
