Harry and Meghan - God's Garden

The Truth is that “merit” is not established by genetics.  Merit is established by character, courage, and goodness of heart, hard work, fairness, and the fruits of our labors demonstrating all the aforementioned choices that we have made all on our own in our own lives.

And Nature, for its part, demands that while we respect where we come from and the people who gave birth to us, and that we give back to our diverse cultural and ethnic and racial roots and preserve them, we cannot impose homogenous   This is the Principle of Nature that I call “God’s Garden”. 

If your eyes are open, you can easily observe the vast, vast numbers of differing plants, trees, fungi, algae, insects, worms, birds, and animals that form our forests and garden and every biome on Earth --- all occupying their own space and doing their own jobs.  Faced with this, you also realize that there is vast beauty and richness of life made possible because of this diversity. 

Is a rose any “better” than a lily?  A violet to be trampled for a verbena?   Can we establish any particular “divine grace” with which a Sycamore is imbued, above and beyond a Cedar?  No. They are all Divine Creations. They all have their part.  They all deserve the deepest respect.  And so do we all deserve the same, in all our rich varieties of color and kind, heritage and substance.

There is no answering Principle in Nature allowing for static homogeneity.  None.

So while we stand up for and honor and respect our own “kind”, we must also grant the Rule of Nature and of Nature’s God, to create this magnificent panoply of life and form and heritage of all kinds, and if we do not, we end up with One World Government provided by One Homogenous Ruling Family and a world as bereft of life and color as a fading black and white photograph.

The Generic (Internationalist) Royal Family  has a nasty habit of destroying and denigrating and crippling those who are not of "the" Royal Blood so as to maintain control and advantage over others, and to preserve the "purity" of their own Genotype, though even the term "Generic Royal Family" suggests that there is no such "purity" involved.

When Harry married Meghan, I shook my head and wished him luck, well-knowing the kind of quiet firestorm of racial and cultural prejudice his fledgling family would face despite the more open-minded and supportive younger members of the Royal Tribe.

The entire concept of "Royalty" depends on Eugenics, breeding, as in dog breeding, and privilege based on blood inheritance.  They have to keep up the pretense that they are so special, so different, so pre-destined for greatness on the basis of something, so this excuse, blood-line inheritance,  is what they have settled upon.  Anything counter to this oddball proposition of "divine right by inheritance" and the preservation of these claims must, in the view of the proponents of this scheme, be squelched.

Even if it means disinheriting a King, like Edward VIII.

Even if it means death and mayhem, like Princess Diana.

Even if it means losing your Grandson, like Prince Harry.

Even if it is nothing but a Big Lie and against Nature itself.

"Preserving one's own" may be the Greater Course of Nature, but there is a time when this Draconian and inhumane definition of family by blood means losing that which you sought to preserve, and the stultification of what remains, trapped by self-limiting definitions of who and what we are.

The moment when Elizabeth II endeared herself to me came in the early 1960's.  She was being hard-pressed in a conversation with a American interviewer.  She looked a bit flustered and finally said, "Well, I suppose someone must be in charge of things."

The Royal Family, including the Internationalist Royal Family, needs to back-track to their shared Celtic roots and take a look at what Family in the Celtic Tradition really means.  It's not about "pure blood".  It's about being part of something greater than yourself. It's about embracing a higher purpose than any advantage of birth. And, it's about the journey forward, together, accepting new blood and new visions, building a shared future.

I am very proud of Prince Harry, of his courage and his self-evident love for his wife and small children.  For their sakes, he has done the right thing, and yet, inevitably, this strikes yet another death knell for the Generic (Internationalist) Royal Family, which continues to lose their best and brightest for the sake of a Big Lie that actual Celtic Culture has never tolerated.

A Brief Note for Our Still Utterly Clueless Military

The British Royal Family is GERMAN.  

It has been GERMAN since Victoria married Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Prince of Wettin, on February 10, 1840.

Ask yourselves --- what happened when a Queen married in the nineteenth century? Her husband owned her and all her property.  Prince Albert became the de facto owner of Britain, because he owned Victoria.

The power of the British Monarchy and everything else resides in the House of Wettin to this day.

The British aristocracy and the German aristocracy were one-in-the-same during both the First and Second World Wars.  Two faces of the same coin.

That's why you get those photos of the King and Queen Mother giving the Nazi salute, and the young Elizabeth wearing a Nazi armband, and come to think of it, why in blazes does Reinhard Heydrich, Himmler's Second-in-Command bear such a striking resemblance to Prince Charles? 

Military intelligence?  You dolts couldn't find your way out of a paper bag with a 10,000 Lumen LED Flashlight and a Guide Dog.

The problem is not and has never been "the Russians". 

The problem is now and has always been the Nazis.  You are still fighting the fricking Nazis, and you don't even have sense enough to know that, because they have British accents and wear tweed suits. 

Bless me, I am disgusted with all of you. 

It's not Russian interference. 

It's British interference.  Which in this case means German interference. 

Where did that famous "Russian" Dossier come from?  Oh, a Brit. Christopher Steele. 

Who actually interfered with all our past elections going back to 1860?  Oh, the Brits. 

Who substituted their "State of State" organizations for ours--without telling anyone, of course?  Oh, the Brits.

Who screwed up the entire Middle East?  Oh, the Brits.

Wake to bloody hell up. 

If a Great-Grandma from Big Lake, Alaska, has to tell you this stuff and shove it up your noses, what good are you? 

A bunch of fancy-dressed flat-asses who are adept at running drugs and money laundering and nothing else on the face of the Earth? 

The Problem is not the Russians.  It hasn't been the Russians ever since 1840, and it's still not the Russians now.

If you don't grasp that simple, straight forward, obvious, 100% true and verifiable FACT, my next suggestion to you is to get serious about your GERMAN language studies and bone up fast.

Meet Your Eyes

As I have already and at some length explained, all law comes from religion. That includes the "religion" of science.

This is because religion naturally begets precepts, tenets, truths -- and these become doctrines and laws. It is part of the categorization function of our brains. We do this sifting and winnowing process of discernment by nature, and it has always been part of us to engage in this process of developing beliefs (in science, called "theories", though it is the same thing) and testing those beliefs until we arrive at a settled agreement about the truth of our beliefs --- which becomes a "Law".

Notice the capital "L" on Law.

So, for example, in Judeo-Christian Ecclesiastical Law, we have The Law of Kinds, mandating that men can only contract with other men, and business organizations with other business organizations. In science, we have The First Law of Thermodynamics.

All incipient "Laws" follow the same pathway into existence: observation, hypothesis, testing of the hypothesis, belief in the hypothesis, recognition of the content of the hypothesis as "Law" --- for the purposes of that group of Believers.

Both religion and science, if they are sane and proper, admit that their "Laws" are the Truth to the best of the ability of the Believers to find Truth, and they hold out the possibility --- however remote it might seem at the time --- that they could be wrong to one degree or another.

Just as a scientific theory can never be truly proven, neither can a religious belief.

At best, a long and thorough testing that consistently yields the same results may be relied upon as the most likely true answer or, at least, can be avowed as such by a group of Believers, whether those Believers are scientists or monks.

A religious process of belief, like a line of scientific inquiry, can yield results that are right or wrong or some of both, and the doctrines and precepts and rules that men derive from their beliefs in religious theories, like their scientific theories, can be right or wrong or some of both.

It turns out that in order to understand law or what goes on in a courtroom or what goes on in your world, you have to understand the religion giving rise to the law --- and that, if you take the Quest, requires going back a very long time indeed: all the way back to the Stone Age.

What religion goes back that far and underlies all the laws and systems of law that we know today, including all our scientific laws?

It's called "Magic" or "Mandamus"---- but not in the sense we use those words today, and not even in the sense that the Bible talks about sorcery. We are not talking about soothsayers and summoning the dead and shaking boxes full of bones and reading Tarot cards. Not the religion of Babylon.

We are talking about searching for the fundamental truths of Nature and the powers of Nature and the results of that search over a very, very long time.

Now I am going to take you on a short mental trip into the worldview of this very ancient religion so you can better understand both this particular religion and the world you live in and co-create.

Imagine that you are standing in the middle of an old-fashioned carpenter's shop, with wooden work benches and hand tools scattered about and half-finished projects everywhere. It's a very pleasant place. Sunshine is pouring in through the windows, and you feel perfectly at home as you look around.

This is the True God's Workshop. We call it "Now". It's where we spend our waking hours. It's where we work and create and have our power, along with all the other people who work here, developing new ideas and tools and models. It's a wonderful, empowering place to be.

But, if you turn your attention to the floor of this workshop, you will notice that it seems dark and dirty and littered with all sorts of detritus that needs to be cleaned up and cleared out. This is the Shadowland where all the debris of the creative process goes -- the half-finished thoughts and dreams, the discarded theories, the rubbish of the Universe.

There are doors opening off the main workshop, and as you step into these, they offer you different views. These are the so-called "Higher Dimensions" though in fact, they are part of the same dimension as the Workshop, obviously. Just like you can see a different view from the back of your house than from the front of your house, these "rooms" let you see yourself and other people from different perspectives.

If you step out the door of the Workshop, you find yourself in a very strange place indeed, a place where black is white and white is black, like an old-time photographic negative, and strangest of all, you find yourself standing on a gridwork of light. This is the Time Grid, a locational gridwork that allows you to find any past or present time, person, or action.

Now, this gridwork appears completely square on a local basis, like grid paper marked off in squares, but as you perceive distance, it curves in an odd way.

As you learn to navigate in this strange world of the Time Grid, you realize that time is space and locked to spatial coordinates, but is, at the same moment, completely malleable and fluid. You can pick up a corner of the Time Grid and fold it over to another square of the Time Grid, like folding a fishing net.

Well, it's all very strange, but not threatening. This is, after all, your Father's Creation and you are safe within it and part of it. You don't have to understand it all, all at once. You are free to take baby steps and explore at your own pace.

So these are the basic elements --- your Father's Workshop, where you help build and co-create the world, the Shadowland of detritus on the "floor" of the Workshop, the Rooms with different views opening off the Workshop, and the Time Grid, just outside the door.

Your Father's Workshop, where we co-create our world, is what we call "Now" and there is no other "Now". Everything that was in the past and everything that will be in the future is outside the door, on the Time Grid. And none of it is ever lost or dis-ordered once it is complete.

I called this article "Meet Your Eyes" because I want to describe how I first became aware of "perceptual physics" or what some people are calling "quantum physics" though that is an inadequate description, too.

I was about seventeen and driving down a multi-lane interstate highway in the Midwest in the late morning on a summer day. Everything was bright and clear and the road was dry, not the least hint of any kind of roadway danger --- when a small white sub-compact car came whizzing by at very high speed on my left-hand side.

I watched in horror as the driver lost control and the car went spinning and twirling end for end down the road in front of me, and with equal distress saw the two semi-truck trailers, also just in front of me and on either side, both right and left, start veering violently away from the center lane and the wreck happening directly in front of me.

It seemed that I had no options at all. Either I plowed into the white car which was now in my lane, or one or both of those careening truck trailers were going to swing around like a baseball bat and send me to the moon.

In that instant, I found myself looking down at the unfolding drama from a vantage point about three hundred feet above the roadway, and everything that was happening slowed down to a very nice manageable pace.

I could see that the white car was heading to a resting place just beyond the pillars of an upcoming overpass, and that if I just kept driving at the same speed and in the same lane, I'd avoid the whole mess and just shoot past it all. Which I did.

My "eyesight" returned to its normal vantage point, and the slow motion feature went back to normal speed and that was that. But....

How could that be?

Many, many people who have faced truly threatening situations have reported this same perceptual shift, very clearly saying that: "time stopped" or "everything moved in slow motion". Some people, about one in one hundred of those who report the "Slow Motion Effect" also do what I did, and shift the vantage point from which they are viewing the slow motion action.

So, of course, I had to investigate this. For the next ten years or so, whenever I would meet with veterans or firemen or others in dangerous professions, I would invite discussions about the "Slow Motion Effect" and found that it was a universal, common-as-dirt phenomenon.

In really, truly dangerous situations, I concluded that the "the film" either slows down, or, our ability to perceive "the film" speeds up so that the unfolding action appears to slow down.

Hmmm.

Add that to the fact that we know precisely how fast still photos have to be projected to give us the illusion of live action "motion pictures", and how fast a Hummingbird's wings have to move before they appear to disappear entirely, and you have a fecund basis from which to understand both illusions and facts about mathematics, time, space, energy, gravity, mass (that doesn't really exist), and a great many other things that neither science nor religion can account for.

When neither science nor religion can explain something, they have a nasty tendency to discount it, because it disturbs both their established prejudices and their gravy trains. In their efforts to evade knowledge that doesn't fit their suppositions they will go to great lengths and hurl great insults and even inspire great fears as we have seen with the current nonsensical non-debate about human-caused climate change.

It turns out that if you go back tens of thousands of years and study the Laws of High Magic, you will find that our distant ancestors knew and cared far more about the Truth and the actual nature of our world, than we do. It also turns out that these Laws underlie every other system of law on the planet.

We will explore more about your Father's Workshop and about the nature of Nature and also the nature of Law, and if you stick with it, you will come to a new understanding of yourself and your world. You will discover God-given abilities you never knew you had and you will be empowered.

Use these gifts for good. Share these gifts with others so that they also become empowered. Don't hoard your knowledge, thinking to use it as an advantage over others, or to deceive or for any other vain purpose. The time has come when those who love the True God will do miracles for his glory.

All you have to do in "equitable exchange" is to get up every day and ask yourself, "What can I do today, right here and right now, to make the world a better place?" ---And then, go do it.

It is best always to remember Merlin's prophecy. 

The White Snake has no power over the Red Dragon and fighting will not change that. 

The Seals have been broken.  The Blessed have returned.  It's time for celebration. 

If, as you say, you want the original Treaty of Peace with the Devics honored, that is much in our way of thinking, too.  

If, as you say, you want the greatness of Scotland honored, that, too, is easy to respect and arrange.  

Nothing you have suggested seems outlandish or wrong or improper -- except the idea that six billion people have to die in order to bring this planet back into balance.  

Cooperatively, we have the technology and know-how to repair every aspect of the natural environment and resolve the waste management problems, too. 

As for the broken economic and banking system, we have all the answers for that, also.  King Darren has already agreed. 

Killing six billion people would cause a vast labor shortage if the object is to turn the Earth back into a garden space and create peace.  And if that is not the goal that unites us, what is?  

You know as well as I do that such a catastrophe would create no enduring peace.  Quite the opposite. 

That said, let go that one contention, and the rest is easy.  The Great Dipole is complete.  The Heavenly Host is content.  The Interstice is cleared.  The Ancient Kingdoms are restored. 

There is nothing left, except your peace--- and while I cannot grant your desire to have the Romanovs live again, or return the child you once were, my Father can. 

In view of all you have been given and the kindness of life within you, is it really such a stretch to trust the Lord and Giver of Life to "make all things new"?  Even them?  Even you?

An Open Letter to the Queen and the Pope

If anything bad happens in Richmond, Virginia, tomorrow, we are holding you and your respective governments entirely, 100%, commercially and personally responsible for it.

"Governor" Northam is administering a "Commonwealth" entity and unnecessarily and recklessly imposing upon law-abiding Americans in violation of their Constitutional guarantees.

This affront to our substantive law and to us is duly noted, on top of the many other offenses that your respective governments have promulgated in Breach of Trust.

It is also duly noted that the in respect to the British Commonwealth United States the Queen acts as the Overseer for the Pope, so that in effect, Pope Francis is the Principal responsible for any bloodshed or acrimony or public damage in Virginia tomorrow.

In the event that Governor Northam does not show appropriate and due diligence to ensure that he is not presuming upon Americans who are lawfully guaranteed their absolute right to keep and bear arms, we shall hold both the Queen and the Pope accountable for condoning through their employees and agents the promotion of violent insurrection and conflict on our shores.

You have both been given due and appropriate Notice that illegal and immoral contracting practices have been employed by the British Crown and CAPSTONE to create fraudulent and unconscionable citizenship contracts with Americans. These contracts are invalid, null and void.

This conspiracy to evade your responsibilities under the Constitutions has been discovered and fully vetted and both your administrations have been found wanting.

You need to correct, not exacerbate this problem. Any harm, any public disturbance, any destruction of people or property will be held against you and charged at a rate of ten trillion dollars per life lost, and one billion dollars per house or building damaged.

Any Fool....

Any Fool should know that a gas accounting for 1/300th of one percent of the atmosphere (carbon dioxide) and alterations in the minute amount of this gas caused by human activities, could never account for any such phenomenon as "Global Warming" or "Climate Change".  

Whatever else we know, we know that much right off the cuff, without years of public debate, without spending billions of dollars on "climate research".  

Barring the existence of some unknown, unobserved, mysterious catalytic effect, there is simply no way that variations in the amount of carbon dioxide could change anything.  The total amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is far too small have any general impact at all. 

Honestly, it seems to be a contest to find out how gullible we are, and what line of horse hooey they can get away with as an excuse for their power-grabbing and taxation and depopulation schemes.

The People of the World send their compliments to the Italian Government and demand that they revoke The Lateran Treaty signed by Nazi-Collaborator Benito Mussolini, and dissolve the basis for Vatican City's international independent city-state status.  

Next, we arrest all members of the Roman Catholic Clergy operating above the level of Parish Priests and all upper level management of the [former] Vatican City State who are non-clerical employees.  

Next, we nationalize all Roman Catholic Church properties and bank accounts and securities holdings worldwide, leaving only local church buildings and their immediate grounds and cemeteries and attached buildings undisturbed for the use of innocent parishioners. 

Next, we arrest the senior management of the slightly over 700 corporations worldwide who have been engaged in the interlocking trust directorate scheme promoted and implemented by the Vatican and Universal Postal Union and Bank of International Settlements.  

In tandem with all this, we search and destroy and/or confiscate all planes used to distribute Chemtrail pollution and seize the assets of all companies and management-level individuals engaged in this criminal activity and similarly confiscate all assets of corporations engaged in disruptive weather warfare and scalar resonance "tests" impacting "non-domestic" populations in countries around the world.  

So, we've been foxed into using "credit" as money, and then not even getting the credit applied to our accounts.  We've believed that "the Americans" dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and that turns out to be "the US" and another Big Lie.  We've been told that the death of one wandering Jewish prophet paid for all the sins of mankind forever, and have yet to see the 

"PAID IN FULL" receipt from his self-proclaimed "representatives". 

 And in keeping with this Tradition of Big Lies, we've been told that the "desperate situation" caused by changes in 1/300th of one percent of the atmosphere justifies Draconian taxes and coercive regulatory practices on a planet-wide basis, and, moreover, the death of six billion innocent people.

The Roman Catholic Church.  Again. 

Catholics, if you don't want to be held responsible for this, and don't want your Church held responsible for this, you need to get on the move and protest in no uncertain terms. 

United Nations?  If your Officers and your corporations don't want to be held responsible for this, and don't want your organizations forced into Chapter 7 involuntary bankruptcy for crimes against humanity, you'd better haul rump, too.

It is happily noted that someone, somewhere, has realized that the Second Article has far more power and standing as Law of Substance than any theoretical "Second Amendment", and that this principle guarantee cannot be violated as a taking against the Will.  

Kudos and congratulations to whoever had the good sense to notice that there is a difference between an "Article" of the Constitution and an "Amendment" to the Constitution. 

That said, and in the same spirit of awareness --- when you take reference to "civil rights" and Federal Code sections (except for the explicitly declared purpose of reminding them of what their own law requires) you are placing yourself under their law, not yours, and you are then unavoidably separating yourself from the protections of the actual Constitution.  

You can't be "in" and "out" at the same time.  You can't claim "Equal Civil Rights" as a Federal Citizen, and at the same time claim Natural and Unalienable Rights (and Constitutional Guarantees) as an American.  

I cannot say this often enough or emphatically enough: both US Territorial and Municipal "Federal" citizenship(s) are created by the Constitutions, so either variety of "US Citizen" are not Parties to the Constitutions and cannot make any direct claim to any constitutional guarantee.  

American State Citizens are direct Parties to the Constitutions and have the right of enforcement, but US Citizens --- either Territorial or Municipal, do not. 

Read that again: US Citizens are not parties to any Constitution and have never had any Constitutional rights or guarantees.  As long as you persist in claiming to be any variety of "US Citizen" ---- neither do you.  

At best such Persons can hope that the Congress honors its agreement to provide "Equal Civil Rights" and this is a vain hope, as they have already declared a "state of emergency" which, for Federal Citizens, suspends their "Equal Civil Rights" access to the Constitutions.  

So, here you are, mis-identified as some sort of US Citizen, depending on second-class "Equal Civil Rights" that have already been suspended.  

This is not a tenable situation to be in, and if you wish to access the protections and guarantees you are heir to, then you must take pro-active measures to declare and record your correct political status as an American-----not a US Citizen dependent on "Equal Civil Rights".

Don't wait.  Don't try to argue it in court. Secure your evidence and position today.  I am constantly contacted by people who get themselves in trouble with the Federal Authorities and then after-the-fact want to declare their correct political status and enforce the substantive law in their favor. 

It doesn't work that way.  

Once you are in their courts and identified as one of their citizens, you are obligated to obey their policies and statutory laws.  Any attempt to change your political status in "mid-stream" looks suspicious and self-serving and is discredited as evasion.  

Most Americans have been blissfully ignorant of their obligation to declare and record their political status as Americans, and as a result, are incorrectly identified as British Territorial United States Citizens or Municipal (Federal Civil Service) citizens of the United States----and there is no evidence on the Public Record otherwise. 

So --- if you want to enforce your Second Article right to keep and bear arms, you must declare and record your political status as an American State Citizen and access your Guarantees directly, instead of relying upon the rogues in Congress to honor their action granting "Equal Civil Rights" to Federal United States Citizens.   

What the Congress gives to its Employees and Dependents (Equal Civil Rights) the Congress can take away. 

What is owed to you directly by international treaty and service contract is a different story.

In the Introit of this day's Mass the Church calls upon all creatures to thank God for the Incarnation of His only-begotten Son.

INTROIT Let all the earth adore Thee, O God and sing to Thee: let it sing a psalm to Thy name (Ps. 65:4). Shout with joy to God all the earth, sing ye a psalm to His name: give glory to His praise (Ps. 65:1-2). Glory be to the Father and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

COLLECT Almighty and eternal God, Who disposest all things in heaven and on earth: mercifully hear the supplications of Thy people, and give Thy peace to our times. Through our Lord Jesus Christ Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee, in the Unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end, Amen.

EPISTLE (Rom.12:6-16). Brethren: We have different gifts, according to the grace that is given us: either prophecy, to be used according to the rule of faith, or ministry in ministering, or he that teacheth in doctrine, he that exhorteth in exhorting, he that giveth with simplicity, he that ruleth with carefulness, he that sheweth mercy with cheerfulness. Let love be without dissimulation. Hating that which is evil, cleaving to that which is good: loving one another with the charity of brotherhood: with honor preventing one another: in carefulness not slothful: in spirit fervent: serving the Lord: rejoicing in hope: patient in tribulation: instant in prayer: communicating to the necessities of the saints: pursuing hospitality: bless them that persecute you: bless and curse not. Rejoice with them that rejoice, weep with them that weep: being of one mind, one towards another: not minding high things, but consenting to the humble. Be not wise in your own conceits.

EXPLANATION. St. Paul in this epistle exhorts every Christian to make good use of the gifts of God; if one receives an office, he must see well to it, so that he can give an account to God of the faithful performance of his duties. He exhorts especially to brotherly love which we should practice by charitable works; such as, receiving strangers hospitably, giving alms to those who are in need, and to those who by misfortune or injustice have lost their property; he commands us, at the same time, to rejoice in the welfare of our neighbor, as we rejoice at our own good fortune, and to grieve at his misfortunes as we would over those which befall us.

How is brotherly love best preserved?

By the virtue of humility which makes us esteem our neighbor above ourselves, consider his good qualities only, bear patiently his defects, and always meet him in a friendly, respectful, and indulgent manner. Humility causes us to live always in peace with our fellowmen, while among the proud, where each wishes to be the first, there is continual strife and dissatisfaction (Prov. 13:10).

INSTRUCTION FOR SUPERIORS

Those have to expect a severe sentence from God, who merely for temporal gain, seek profitable offices, and thrust themselves therein whether capable or not, and if capable care very little whether they fulfill the duties required, or perhaps make the fulfillment of them depend upon bribes. Of such God makes terrible complaint: Thy princes (judges) are faithless, companions of thieves: they all love bribes, they run after rewards. They judge not for the fatherless; and the widow's cause comes not into them (Is. 1:23). A most severe judgment shall be for them that bear rule (Wisd. 6:6).

ASPIRATION Grant us, O Lord, Thy grace, that according to Thy will, we may follow the instructions of St. Paul in regard to humility and love, have compassion upon all suffering and needy, think little of ourselves, and descend to the lowest, that we may, one day, be elevated with them in heaven.

GOSPEL (Jn. 2:1-11). At that time there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there. And Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the marriage. And the wine failing, the mother of Jesus saith to him: They have no wine. And Jesus saith to her: Woman, what is it to me and to thee? my hour is not yet come. His mother saith to the waiters: Whatsoever he shall say to you, do ye. Now there were set there six water-pots of stone, according to the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three measures apiece. Jesus saith to them: Fill the water-pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And Jesus saith to them: Draw out now, and carry to the chief steward of the feast. And they carried it. And when the chief steward had tasted the water made wine, and knew not whence it was, but the waiters knew who had drawn the water; the chief steward calleth the bridegroom, and saith to him: Every man at first setteth forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee: and manifested his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

Why was Christ and His mother present at this marriage?

In order to honor this humble and God-fearing couple who, with faithful hearts, had invited Him and His mother to their wedding; to give us an example of humility; to assist them in their poverty, and save their good name by changing water into wine; to reveal His dignity as the Messiah to His disciples by this miracle; and to sanctify by His presence the marriages that are contracted in the spirit of the Church.

Alas! how few marriages of our time could Jesus honor with His presence, because He is invited neither by fervent prayer, nor by the chaste life of the couple: He is excluded rather, by the frequent immorality of the married couple and their guests.

Why was Mary interested in this married couple?

Because she is merciful, and the Mother of Mercy, and willingly assists all the poor and afflicted who fear God. From this incident, St. Bonaventure judges of the many graces which we can hope for through Mary, now that she reigns in heaven; "For," says he, "if Mary while yet on earth was so compassionate, how much more so is she now, reigning in heaven!" He gives the reason by adding: "Mary now that she sees the face of God, knows our necessities far better than when she was on earth, and in proportion to the increase of her compassion, her power to aid us has been augmented." Ah! why do we not take refuge in all our necessities to this merciful mother, who although unasked assists the needy?

Why did Christ say to Mary: Woman, what is it to me and to thee?

This seemingly harsh reply of Christ was no reproach, for Mary had made her request only through love and mercy, and Christ calls those blessed who are merciful, but he wished to show that in the performance of divine work, the will of His heavenly Father alone should be consulted. He meant to remind her that He had not received the gift of miracles from her as the son of woman, but from His eternal Father, in accordance with whose will He would do that which she asked when the hour designed by God would come. Though the hour had not come, yet He granted the wish of His mother, who knew that her divine Son refused none of her requests, and so she said to the servants: "Whatsoever He shall say to you, do ye." Behold the great power of Mary's intercession! Neglect not, therefore, to take refuge in this most powerful mother!

What are we taught by the words: My hour is not yet come?

These words teach us that we should in all things await God's appointed time, and in things belonging to God and His honor, act only by divine direction, without any human motives.

What does the scarcity of wine signify?

In a spiritual sense the want of wine may be understood to signify the lack of love between married people, which is principally the case with those who enter this state through worldly motives, for the sake of riches, beauty of person, or who have before marriage kept up sinful intercourse. These should ask God for the forgiveness of their sins, bear the hardships of married life in the spirit of penance, and change the wrong motives they had before marriage; by doing so God will supply the scarcity of wine, that is the lack of true love, and change the waters of misery into the wine of patient affection.

Why did Christ command them to take the wine to the steward?

That the steward, whose office required him to be attentive to the conduct of the guests, and to know the quality of the wine, should give his judgment in regard to the excellence of this, and be able to testify to the miracle before all the guests.

ASPIRATION O my most merciful Jesus! I would rather drink in this world the sour wine of misery than the sweet wine of pleasure, that in heaven I may taste the perfect wine of eternal joy.

INSTRUCTION ON THE HOLY SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY

What is Matrimony?

Matrimony is the perfect, indissoluble union of two free persons of different sex, for the purpose of propagating the human race, mutually to bear the burdens of life and to prevent sin (I Cor. 7:2).

Who instituted Matrimony?

God Himself, the Creator of all things (Gen. 1:27-28). He brought to man the helpmate, whom He formed from one of the ribs of Adam, that she who came from his heart, might never depart therefrom, but cling to him in the indissoluble bond of love (Gen. 2:18, 24). To this original, divine institution Christ refers (Mt. 19:4-6), and the Church declares the bond of marriage perpetual and indissoluble.

Is Matrimony a Sacrament?

Yes; according to the testimony of the Fathers, the Church has held it such from the times of the apostles, which she could not do, had Christ not raised it to the dignity of a Sacrament. St. Paul even calls it a great Sacrament, because it is symbolical of the perpetual union of Christ with His Church; and the Council of Trent declares: "If any one says that Matrimony is not really and truly one of the seven Sacraments of the Church instituted by Christ, but an invention of men that imparts no grace, let him be anathema" (Conc. Trid., Sess. XXIV, can. 1).

What graces does this Sacrament impart?

The grace of preserving matrimonial fidelity inviolate: the grace of educating children as Christians; of patiently enduring the unavoidable difficulties of married life, and of living peaceably with each other. Married people are indeed greatly in need of these graces, in order to fulfill their mutual obligations.

What is the external sign in the Sacrament of Matrimony?

The union of two single persons in Matrimony, which according to the regulations of the Council of Trent (Conc. Trid., Sess. XXIV, can. 1), must be formed publicly in the presence of the pastor, or with his permission before another priest, and two witnesses.

What preparations are to be made to receive the grace of this Sacrament?

1. The first and best preparation is a pure and pious life. 2. The light of the Holy Ghost should be invoked to know whether one is called to this state of life. 3. The parents and the father-confessor should be asked for advice. 4. The choice should be made in regard to a Christian heart, and a gentle disposition rather than to beauty and wealth. 5. The immediate preparation is, to purify the conscience, if it has not already been done, by a good general confession, and by the reception of the most holy Sacrament of the Altar. Before their marriage the young couple should ask their parents' blessing, should hear the nuptial Mass with devotion, with the intention of obtaining God's grace to begin their new state of life well, and finally they should commend themselves with confidence to the protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary and her spouse St. Joseph.

Why are there so many unhappy marriages?

Because so many people prepare the way by sins and vices, and continue to sin without interruption, and without true amendment until marriage, therefore always make sacrilegious confessions, even perhaps immediately before marriage. Besides this many enter the married life on account of carnal intentions, or other earthly motives; in many cases they do not even ask God for His grace; without any proper preparation for such an important, sacred act, on their marriage day they go to church with levity and afterwards celebrate their wedding with but little modesty. Is it any wonder that such married people receive no blessing, no grace, when they render themselves so unworthy?

Why did God institute married life?

That children might be brought up honestly and as Christians, and that they should be instructed especially in matters of faith; that married people should sustain each other in the difficulties of life, and mutually exhort one another to a pious life; and lastly, that the sin of impurity might be avoided. For they who in such manner receive matrimony as to shut out God from themselves, and from their mind, and to give themselves to their lust, as the horse and mule which have not understanding, over them the devil hath power (Too. 6:17).

'With what intentions should the married state be entered?

With such intentions as the young Tobias and his bride had, who before the marriage ceremony, ardently prayed God for His grace, and took their wedding breakfast in the fear of the Lord (Too. 14:15). Hence God's blessing was with them until death. If all young people would enter the married state thus, it would certainly be holy, God-pleasing and blessed, and the words of St. Paul, spoken to wives, would come true unto them: Yet she shall be saved by bearing children, if she continue in faith, and love, and sanctification with sobriety (I Tim. 2:15).

Why are the bans of marriage published three times in Church?

That all impediments which would render the marriage unlawful may be made known. Such impediments are: consanguinity, clandestine marriages, etc. Therefore, any one who is aware of such impediments, is bound to make them known to the pastor.

Why is the marriage performed in the presence of the parish priest?

Because the Catholic Church expressly declares that those marriages which are not performed in presence of the pastor, or with his permission before another priest, and two witnesses, are null and void (Conc. Trid., Sess. XXIV can. 1)¹; and because the blessing of the priest, which he imparts in the name of the Church, gives the couple, if they are in a state of grace, strength, fortitude and grace to be faithful to each other, to endure all trials patiently, and to be safe from all the influences of the evil enemy."

Why do they join hands before the priest, and two witnesses?

By this they bind themselves before God and His Church to remain true to each other, and to be ready to assist each other in all adversities. The bridegroom puts a ring on the bride's finger which should remind her of her duty of inviolable fidelity; to this end the priest signs and seals this holy union with the unbloody Sacrifice of the New Law.

Can the bond of marriage be dissolved in the Catholic Church?

A valid marriage, contracted with the free consent of each of the parties, can according to the plain doctrine of the Scriptures, the constant teaching and practice of the Church, be dissolved only by the death of one of the parties. If the pope or a bishop, for important reasons, gives a divorce, this is only partial, and neither can marry again while the other lives. Such a marriage would not be valid. How pure and holy are the doctrine and practice of the Catholic Church in this the most important and sacred of all human relations, preserving its inviolability and sanctity; while, on the contrary, by means of the wanton doctrine of the heretics, which for trivial reasons entirely dissolves the marriage contract, this sacred union is made the deepest ignominy of mankind, and the play-ball of human passions and caprice!

What is thought of mixed marriages, or marriages between Catholics and Protestants?

The Catholic Church has always condemned such marriages, because of the great dangers to which the Catholic party is unavoidably exposed as well as the offspring. Such marriages promote indifference in matters of religion, by which the spiritual life of the soul is destroyed; they are a hindrance to domestic peace, cause mutual aversion, quarrels, and confusion; they give scandal to servants; they interfere with the Christian education of the children, even render it impossible, and they frequently lead to apostasy and despair. But the Catholic Church condemns especially those mixed marriages, in which either all or a number of the children are brought up in heresy, and she can never bless and look upon those as her children who do not fear to withdraw themselves and their own children from the only saving faith, and expose them to the danger of eternal ruin. Therefore, those Catholics who enter the matrimonial union with Protestants, although the marriage if lawfully contracted is valid, commit a mortal sin if they permit their children to be brought up in heresy, and should it not be their full intention to bring up their children in the Catholic faith at the time of their marriage, they would commit a sacrilege.

What should the newly married couple do immediately after the ceremony is performed?

They should kneel and thank God for the graces received in this holy Sacrament, in such or similar words: "Ratify, we beseech Thee, O Lord, that which by Thy grace Thou hast wrought in us, that we may keep that which in Thy presence we have promised unto the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." That they may keep their promise made at the altar, they should always remember the duties laid down to them by the priest at the time of their marriage, and the exhortations which are taken from the epistle of St. Paul to the Ephesians (Eph. 5:29, 31), wherein he instructs married people how they should comport themselves towards each other, and recalls to them as an example the union of Christ with His Church, and His love for her. To the husbands he says, they should love their wives as Christ loved His Church, for which He even gave Himself up to death; from this is seen, that men should assist their wives even unto death, in all need, and not treat them as servants. To the wives St. Paul says, that they as the weaker should be in all reasonable things obedient to their husbands, as the Church is obedient to Christ; for as Christ is the head of the Church, so is the husband the head of the wife. Experience proves there is no better way for women to win the hearts of their husbands than by amiable obedience and ready love, while, on the contrary, a querulous, imperative deportment robs them of their husbands' affections, and even causes them to be regarded with aversion. St. Paul says further; that husbands should love their wives (and consequently wives their husbands) as their own bodies, because married people are, as it were, one. They shall be two in one flesh; no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, as also Christ doth the Church (Eph. 5:29, 31). How unjustly and barbarously do those act, who, instead of loving one another, rather hate and outrage each other, and cause the loss of their property, and by detraction steal their honor! These do not consider that he who hates and disgraces his partner in life, hates and disgraces himself; while according to the words of St. Paul he who loves her, loves himself. If married people would remain in constant love and unity, it is most necessary that they should patiently bear with each other's infirmities, wrongs, and defects, exhort one another with mildness and affection, keep their adversities, trials, and sufferings as much as possible to themselves, and complain in prayer only to God, who alone can aid them. By impatience, quarrels, and complaints the cross becomes only heavier and the evil worse. Finally, not only on their wedding day, but often through life, they should earnestly consider that they have not entered the married state that they may inordinately serve the pleasures of the body, but to have children who will one day inhabit heaven according to the will of God; as the angel said to Tobias: "For they who in such manner receive matrimony, as to shut out God from themselves and from their mind, and to give themselves to their lust as the horse and mule, which have not understanding, over them the devil hath power" (Tob. 6:17).

PRAYER Most merciful Jesus! who didst work Thy first miracle at the wedding in Cana by changing water into wine, thereby revealing Thy divine power and majesty, and honoring matrimony: grant we beseech Thee, that Thy faithful may ever keep sacred and inviolate the holy sacrament of Matrimony, and that they may so live in it truthfully, in the fear of the Lord, that they may not put an obstacle in the way of obtaining heaven for themselves, and their children.

1. In all such dioceses of the United States, where the Council of Trent has not been published, civil marriages are considered valid. The Catholic, however, who becomes married by civil authority commits a mortal sin, except in case of extreme necessity. To be married by a sectarian preacher is looked upon as a denial of faith, and incurs excommunication.
