On the surface it sounded great, But when one points the finger of blame, I tend to look at the 3 pointing back at the one doing the talking....
ReplyDeleteHe said: One party stands for Americas values...
I say Bull Shit, neither party stands for the concept of either Individual Liberty or Limited Government.....
In the current congress (the 111th) only 3 congressman and one senator have a 100% correct voting record on Constitutional issues.... Now I'm willing to give credit where credit is due and say the 4 mentioned above Representatives are Republicans, but thats 4 out of 100 senators, 1 President, 435 congressmen &
9 Supreme court justices.....
Each any everyone of these So called Representative raised their right hand and swore an oath to protect the Constitution so help them God....An currently only 4 have.
George Washington in his farewell speech addressed the dangers of (blind) party loyalty.
The speaker, in my mind was encouraging it.....
In closing, while on the surface, it (his speech) sounded good, When dissected,it in my mind is little more than propaganda designed to keep us Divided.
