Let's begin with dispensing with the ridiculous idea that two continents were named after an Italian mapmaker, Amerigo Vespucci, who was far, far, far from the first or best cartographer to make an attempt at mapping these shores.
Instead of the Continents being named after "Amerigo" it is far more likely that he was named after them; that is easily explained, if he had French ancestors, and his first name came from that side of the family and was simply transliterated into Italian: Armorica transliterated to Amerigo.
There's another story in which the name America comes from a native word-phrase, "Amar uca" which means "land of the feathered (or plumed) serpent".
Oxford University is older than the Aztec culture, so we are going to ignore the Aztecs for the purposes of this discussion and focus on the much older (and still present) Mayan and predecessor Olmec civilizations.
What were they doing worshipping what they described as a "white" god? Kukulkan? Were they referring to skin color? Or did he come from the East (Venus) which has a directional association with the color white?
If Maya meant East, the direction, they would have indicated the directional quadrant, just as the Hopi and other Southwest American tribes and other contemporary Mesoamerican tribes do today.
The Spanish who first reported that Kukulkan was white and who received worship as deities themselves as a result, aren't subject to any later politically-correct interpretations.
The Maya didn't worship the direction East and they didn't worship the directional quadrant colored white and they didn't worship the Morning Star, Venus.
They worshipped a white-skinned sky-god Creator, festooned with feathers, and having a serpent's head. That's the only reason that when they saw white-skinned Spaniards, they were amazed and fell down and worshipped them.
Otherwise, when they saw the Spaniards it would have been, ah, another brown-skinned guy. Wonder what tribe he's from? Are they friendly or hostile? Do I offer him dinner or run? Or fight?
Worship and prostration would not have been the response.
For anyone familiar with the Ancient World, the combination of characteristics associated with Kukulkan are a mix of the Atlantean-Egyptian god Thoth and the Hindu Seven Sages -- who were all serpent gods with serpent heads --- and this is self-evident.
The serpent has always been a symbol of wisdom and so has the Ibis -- Thoth is shown as an Ibis-headed god, therefore having feathers associated with his worship. Feathers and snake heads were fully present and accounted for for thousands of years prior to the Mayan civilization that arose @ 2000 BCE.
Now, do you believe that the Maya just spontaneously associated feathers and snakeheads with sky gods and worship all by themselves, or do you believe that they adopted this rather weird iconography as a result of exposure to the earlier civilizations?
Did Kukulkan arrive exactly as The Emerald Tablets of Thoth describe the dispersion of Atlantean priest-teachers to all the continents after the fall of Atlantis?
Just as the Egyptian artifacts found in the Grand Canyon and the Egyptian hieroglyphs carved into the cliffs above Lake Michigan and found among the Algonquin and Iroquois indicate? Were the seven snake-headed sages of the Hindu pantheon Atlantean priests?
Go figure.
We now have proof that Thoth wasn't just blowing steam through his beak ---- as a result of archeological findings on all seven continents, all showing indisputable proof of an earlier pre-flood worldwide civilization and intermixing of symbols, images, and advanced technologies that we are barely beginning to grasp today.
The Roman Catholic Church knows this. The Smithsonian knows this. The Secret Space Force knows this. Everyone, except the Mass Media and school textbook publishers, knows this.
And now, you know. We all come from one world. A long time ago.
Lately, we have been pestered by Moors who latched upon an old treaty between the United States Government and the Kingdom of Morocco and have tried to turn this into a claim that they are Moors and have rights established by that treaty. Both that "United States" and that "Kingdom of Morocco" are long gone, but that doesn't stop people from pretending that they are heirs and progeny.
So a grab-bag of people from every possible background, race, and provenance, people from Norway and England and Africa and the Pacific Islands and Mesoamerica have stepped up and claimed to be "Amooricans" --- without, however, any connection to Morocco, and not being Muslims, either.
They apparently made up the word "Amoorican" to describe their self-proclaimed "specialhood", (see, we can make words up, too), and are now trying to convince otherwise sane people that the name "America" came from their new made up label, "Amoorican".
No.
If you follow the DNA, you will find it super-concentrated in far northwestern France, in the Ancient (very ancient) Kingdom of Armorica. You will see the same craggy intelligent faces and dark, penetrating eyes on the faces of Armorican sailors and merchants that you see scattered all along the Eastern Coasts of both North and South America and stretching inland for thousands of miles, then skipping across the Pacific Ocean lightly as one of Thoth's feathers to northeastern Russia, the Middle East, Turkey, Northern Greece, the Balkans..... and lickety-split, back to Northern Italy and home again to France....
Armorica was the home base of these secretive seafaring masters of navigation and trade. And still is.
It's no secret where the name "America" came from. It came from the Ancient Kingdom of Armorica, which sits right across the English Channel from all of Southern England. There isn't a European in existence who has any excuse for keeping a straight face about this, and especially not any Englishmen, who have traded with the Armoricans long, long, long before the Romans ever caused their ant-like legions to crawl westward.
The Armoricans, as proven by the wide planetary distribution of their DNA and resulting physical characteristics are among the true Progenitor Nations of the Earth. Show us any single "indigenous nation" that has a DNA distribution comparable to the Armoricans?
That is what we mean by a Progenitor Nation --- one that cuts across entire continents, leaving its DNA scattered like pollen grains all across the Earth. We would guess that somewhere around a quarter to one third of mankind share Armorican DNA.
It makes sense that their name is firmly attached, in a transliterated version, to two continents. In view of their seafaring and trading mastery, it makes sense that their DNA has circled the globe. It makes sense that their faces look back at us, not only in France, but among virtually all the Native Nations of the Americas, and from Turkey and North Africa to either magnetic pole.
Once you know what an Armorican looks like, you see them everywhere. Their noses. Their cheekbones. Their chins. The results of their Blood Treaties, and the strength and dominance of their DNA, silently speaks for them in every corner of the Earth.
There is no doubt and no need to wonder where the name "America" came from.
Armoricans ultimately came west during their first circling of the planet, and settled in France, where they have been in continuous occupation of the same bit of land for longer than history imagines or records.
The irritating part from the standpoint of those who call themselves "Americans" --- both North and South --- is that the Europeans know this, yet the Brits stick their tongues in their cheeks spun tales of Italian mapmakers, and the Danes, equally complicit, have winked and looked away, while the French, most responsible for this little "omission" of history, have nothing to say.
We've said it for them.
"America" was named after the "Armoricans", French seafarers, navigators, and merchants of great wealth and renown, who sit right across the English Channel from all the major southern British ports, still occupying their ancestral lands and plying their sea lanes, as they have done continuously for thousands of years. Thank you very much.
Greetings to Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton, Portsmouth, Southampton, Bournemouth, Weymouth, Plymouth, Exeter, and Falmouth. Yes, Americans can read, and read maps, too.
And service contracts. And naval treaties.
