I am writing to reassure everyone that I am fine, the Federation is fine, and you are fine.
Your Earth is in trouble, however. It's up to you to take action to save it and your fellow man, make an end to the lies, and delve down to the truth that lives in each one of us.
You first take action via thought, and then, you take more action by feeling emotions prompted by your thoughts. And then your thought-emotion naturally broadcasts into the Universe. And you sit there like the Child of God that you are, transmitting your thought-feeling into infinity without sound, without words, expressing your Will, letting your mind's eye caress the ocean and the sky, the forests and the fields of home.
Oh, you may start out in your little town, your State, your America, but don't stop there. Let your mind's eye drift onward across the sea and over foreign lands. Let your mind's ears hear the pounding of the surf in Japan. Let your thought-body feel the blazing sun of Morocco at dawn, as the chill of the desert night so quickly fades away. This, too, is your home.
All you really have to do is love it.
Strangely, in some people's opinion, I am not bowed down with grief, not overcome by Jim's death. His face was transfigured, glowing with light, and the expression on it was one of surprise and joy. He was like a bird taking flight straight into the dawn and yes, I was sad that I couldn't fly with him. Not yet. But that day, too, shall come.
Strangely, too, we are closer in spirit now that his body is no longer present. We silently commune as we always have. He speaks to me, when it suits him; I speak to him in the quiet moments of the day. We are always together and I am beginning to realize that Jim has been utterly restored, perfected, and made whole.
All the pain and trauma, all the worry and fear and misery is gone. The terrible head injury he suffered as a toddler, the horrors of things he had to do as a soldier, the damage from the way he was treated, the confusions of this crazy world --- vanished as if they never were.
What remains is the irreducible truth. The love that always was and the love that remains.
We used to assume as most people do that "life" was something that was happening to us, but no; life is what we experience in every moment. So it behooves us to be present, and paying attention.
Lately, I have been taking flak for giving Michael Jackson a cameo in our beginning textbook, "You Know Something is Wrong When.... An American Affidavit of Probable Cause".
Toward the end of the book, we quoted the lyrics from the Michael Jackson song, "The Man in the Mirror".
If anyone on Earth delved deeply into the questions of identity, it was Michael Jackson; and as we have all been the victims of identity theft and Draconian social engineering aimed at reducing us to being unfeeling gears and cogs, it seemed right --- and still does --- to give a nod to what MJ was so often trying to tell us about the "mirror" of our own lives and the choices we make --- or fail to make.
As you get up in the morning, I hope you "make that change" and go with it freely, not dragging any weight forward from the past, not worried about any outcome. Free at last. Let your mind's eye rest on your fellow man, the people you love, the people you hate, and then look at yourself like your favorite science experiment.
