About What You Can Do

 By Anna Von Reitz

Many of my friends and those who rely on me for news and information are upset by the personal attacks and crazy accusations that get hurled at me by professional trolls and people like Ed Kennedy of Pennsylvania, who turns out to be a well-known Vexatious Litigant.

What is a Vexatious Litigant?   Someone who does what Ed does.  Someone who moans and pretends that he has been injured and files all sorts of administrative and legal complaints hoping to get others in trouble or get some financial gain.

These people nail their shoes to the floor and then claim that someone else is holding them hostage.  That sort of thing.

Thankfully, they don't get away with doing this sort of thing forever.  Their modus operandi catches up with them and the courts throw them out, like the boy who cried wolf too many times.

For every one of them, there are thousands of good people who follow the logic, look things up, and think for themselves.

Be one of those thousands.

Take the plunge and renounce Evil in your own life.

Look at that man or woman in the mirror and remember that love is a decision.  So decide.

Have you had enough of the lies and the craziness?

What do you want this world to be like, deep down inside?

Concentrate on that. Bring the full force of your mind, body, emotions and all the life energies at your command together and give your attention, fully to the question: what kind of world do you want to see?

Hold your attention on the answer as long as you can, and then let it go, and go about your business.  As you go about your daily life, pause whenever it suits you, and let your mind and spirit dwell in your new home, your envisioned better world.

And again, let it go, and tend to your life. Repeat this little visual and emotional prayer without words here and there throughout your day.  If you want peace, feel peace.

Don't be surprised if some situations and people suddenly exit your life when you start doing this. They belong to a different life than the one you are building in your heart and mind, so of course, they leave. And that's all right.  That's how it must be.

When you create a new world, the old world changes.

Hold steady and keep your attention focused on your answer.

Then let it rest, and go on and think about and do other things.

No matter how poor you are, you can do this.  No matter how old or sick you are, you can do this.

And by doing this, you will change the world.

Petition Alert: Investigate the SPLC's Work with the Biden Administration

 Dear Paul,

Only weeks ago, a staff attorney for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) was arrested at a violent protest. It's not the first time the leftist group has been linked to domestic terrorism.

As you may recall, the SPLC's "Hate Map" inspired a deranged gunman in 2012 to attack Family Research Council! This latest incident might signal a turning point... if we work together to let the truth be known.

On March 5, approximately 150 individuals departed a music festival in Atlanta, changed into black clothing, then entered the construction site of the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center. A "coordinated and very violent attack" ensued, to quote Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum, as perpetrators threw bricks and Molotov cocktails at officers and set off fireworks.

This group of domestic terrorists set fires that destroyed multiple pieces of construction equipment. Amazingly, no officers were harmed during the riot as they "used non-lethal enforcement to conduct arrests," according to a police statement.

One of those charged with domestic terrorism in the attack was Thomas Webb Jurgens, a staff lawyer with the noted leftist advocacy group, the SPLC.

Yet somehow the SPLC is still viewed as a legitimate source of information and analysis by the mainstream media and even government agencies.

With the balance of power recently shifting in Congress, we are not without recourse. We have prepared a petition to ask the U.S. House of Representatives to examine whether this organization should have any role in advising the Biden administration.

Of course, the SPLC claimed their lawyer Jurgens was a "legal observer" of these events and blamed his arrest on "heavy-handed law enforcement intervention against protesters."

Let's be clear. Out of approximately 150 "protestors" involved, only 35 particularly disruptive ones were arrested - and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation then charged a mere 23 people, with Jurgens among them.

The SPLC's statement essentially sanctioned Jurgens to be an advisor to Antifa, a loose network that has once again sparked violence against law enforcement and government facilities. It's similar to how the SPLC has provoked violent actions in the past.

Recall that the SPLC maintains a "Hate Map" that includes conservative and Christian groups that hold to biblical views on marriage. A gunman who targeted FRC in August 2012 and was later convicted of domestic terrorism cited FRC's inclusion on that map as the reason why he targeted us.

Outrageously, the SPLC still lists FRC on its "Hate Map"! Their goal is to intimidate and silence anyone who holds to a biblical worldview or advocates for conservative principles.

Now is the time to finally expose SPLC as the dangerous, radical leftist group it is.

The opportunity before us begins with what's called the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government. In January, the new leadership of the U.S. House established this body under the auspices of the House Judiciary Committee.

The subcommittee's mandate is to investigate the Biden administration for capricious, seemingly arbitrary actions by federal law enforcement in recent years. We're calling on these lawmakers to expose the SPLC and its web of influence across government and other spheres of society.

The SPLC's reach into federal agencies is no exaggeration. Earlier this year, the FBI was forced to retract a leaked internal memo from the Richmond field office labeling "radical-traditionalist Catholic[s]" as potential violent extremists. That memo, which cited the SPLC as its source, did "not meet the exacting standards of the FBI," the Bureau admitted.

How is it that the SPLC, which has partnered with law enforcement agencies, the FBI, and the U.S. Department of Defense, has a staff lawyer involved in an anti-law enforcement riot?

Enough is enough!

Paul, you can make a difference right now by signing our petition calling on Congress to investigate the SPLC's involvement with the Biden administration, federal agencies, and more!

Our goal is to gather thousands of petitions over the next few weeks to deliver to the leadership of the Subcommittee. Thank you in advance for signing the petition and for standing with FRC in upholding faith, family, and freedom.

The Petition to Investigate the SPLC states:

To the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government: Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Ranking Member Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-Virgin Islands)

Whereas: The Southern Poverty Law Center has unfairly targeted Family Research Council and many other organizations as "hate groups" for holding conservative, biblical worldviews.

Whereas: The Southern Poverty Law Center's actions have incited harassment and violence against Family Research Council and other organizations and leaders, including a domestic terrorism attack on Family Research Council by a gunman in August 2012.

Whereas: A staff attorney for the Southern Poverty Law Center was recently arrested and charged with domestic terrorism along with 22 other assailants in the March 5, 2023, anti-law enforcement attack on the Atlanta Public Safety Training Center.

Whereas: The Southern Poverty Law Center is well known for threatening and bullying school systems, teachers, and parents with expensive legal actions and complaints filed with federal and state-level Civil Rights Offices for questioning their involvement in public school curriculum.

Therefore, I urge this subcommittee to investigate the Biden administration's and federal agencies' continued reliance upon the Southern Poverty Law Center as a trusted resource for information and data. The bullying tactics of this anti-Christian organization have incited domestic terrorist activities, as well as lawsuits against parents who disagree with the SPLC's radical "Learning for Justice" curriculum in K-12 public schools.

An honest review of the Southern Poverty Law Center's activities and anti-conservative bias will show that federal agencies should cut all ties with this dangerous and disgraced organization.

Do You Believe in Good Chinese Elders?

 By Anna Von Reitz

We are not talking about good Chinese Grandmas and Grandpas or even Great-Grandmas or Great-Grandpas.  I am talking about these magical, mythical beings who just sprang up out of nowhere in the past few years.  I can't imagine where they have been hiding all these years?  A cave in Tibet?

So, you believe that these ultra-altruistic and wise and beneficent Elders just showed up with half the world's gold in their hands, ready to give it away ---- after Mao Zedong played Whack-A-Mole on them and everyone else in China for 27 years?  And then Mao's followers continued his example for another fifty years?

And all the Chinese Triads just flunked the course and didn't find all this gold?

Mao Zedong and his Chinese Communist Party somehow missed these Chinese Elders and their vast storehouses of gold, too?  I just have to come back to that a second time.

Billions and billions of Chinese people knew about these Elders but nobody said a word or wrote a thing about them from the beginning of last century until about five years ago?  Am I missing anything?

Or is there a tradition of Chinese Elders hidden at the rainbow's end behind a shimmering gold cloud of mist?

If you believe in Beneficent Chinese Elders bearing trainloads of gold for the benefit of mankind, you have, in my opinion, stars in your eyes and rocks in your head.

If these Elders were real and if they were beneficent, why'd they let their own people die by the tens of millions and starve until they turned to cannibalism under the early CCP?

It's far. more realistic, if less charming, to assume that someone wound up with a lot of gold that didn't belong to them, and they are now trying to come up with a story to explain away where all this gold came from and how it happened to be in China.

Like a pawn shop owner caught with a stolen diamond necklace, trying to ditch the hot goods by anonymously donating the necklace to charity.

"Hey, Mac, nobody needs to know.  You do the donation for me, and it all looks good."

But wait, we know how all this gold came to be in China. We can track it on satellite.  We can use LIDAR and physical tomography.  The Vermin moved it there as part of their preparations to move their headquarters and main base of operations to China. That's how all that gold got to China.

We can sit in a darkened room and watch transport ship after transport ship moving gold from Point A to Point B (Hong Kong) or Point C (Shanghai) and nobody needs to wonder how the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank of Commerce  (HSBC) became such a world class wonder in such a brief span of years.  We can also note that all the ships using U.S.Navy ports and air stations and U.S. Navy vessels in Singapore and U.S. Navy vessels in Manila most likely were attached to the Pacific Fleet that is supposed to be working for us.

Let's all get a clue here, all this largess pouring into China in the years after Reagan wasn't from Chinese factory workers investing their extra pocket change in the stock market.  And it wasn't even from Chinese investment.  It was from wild, whole hog western investment, as the word was out and the fix was in.

The elderly Chinese involved in this charade may indeed be good people; I would be the last one to say otherwise, in view of their apparent good intentions; but you know, I have seen good intentions fail so often, and that gives me a jaundiced view.

Just look at the good intentions of the Roman Catholic Church?  And the good intentions of the United Nations?  And before that, the good intentions of the League of Nations?  And all that "foreign aid" that the U.S. Congress appropriated out of our pockets without a yes or no?

Turns out that 98% of all that foreign aid never made it to its intended destinations, and what did arrive was WWII surplus  that the Defense Contractors got stuck with and that their buddies in Congress bought from them as a favor and just redefined this cronyism as "foreign aid" --- like all those moldy green wool Army blankets we saw on the docks in Lagos, Nigeria.  Like the Army Green canteens still in daily use in Ethiopia and Morocco.....

Turns out that as soon as the League of Nations got serious about outlawing slavery worldwide, their fate was sealed.

Turns out that the United Nations and the Roman Catholic Church have both been used as storefronts by criminal commercial corporations.

Turns out that when the Pope asks for a voluntary special offering to help pay for relief for refugees and people in need of medical care and assistance in war-torn areas of the world, he spends it on Disney movie productions, new bank digs in the Inner City of London, and luxury condominiums for those (very rich) immigrants, well, refugees of a sort --- moving to China.

Good intentions go astray in so many ways.  The programs and projects get funded, but remain on paper.  The programs and projects get funded --- but only so long as they are politically correct.  The programs and projects get funded -- but the contracts go to rats.

This is the perennial problem and the only way to make sure that the decent living people of the world actually receive the benefit of anything is to give it to them directly ---- not all at once, but in abundance, and not ever subject to the whims and greed of any political body or group of trustees, because that, more than anything, is how all this wealth and all these good intentions get siphoned and side-lined and never seem to hit the ground and make a difference in the lives of average people.

The other thing that really is a benefit are infrastructure projects, but they need to be carried out by the actual national governments, not handed off to Municipal Corporation Subcontractors.

Don't believe these silly narratives about Good Chinese Elders funding the rebuilding of the world after the Second World War, either.  That never happened according to the bank deposit records. That gold came out of family trusts under the umbrella of The Avila Family Trust and national trusts --- like ours.

So, strike two for the Chinese Elders Narrative.

It's better to believe in the Tooth Fairy.  At least we know for sure that teeth exist.

Rope Climbing

 By Anna Von Reitz

Back during the Kennedy Administration there was a big push to promote physical fitness and even a program to distribute Presidential Awards to young people who met and exceeded certain fitness goals.  Virtually every school in the country had one of these fitness programs and tests that went with it, and so, you find me as an eighth grader perched tenuously on the knotted end of a large rope, staring up at the gym ceiling probably twenty feet above my head.

It looked like twenty miles.

With despair in my heart, I watched Terry Bonneville, one of our local gifted athletes, scamper up the rope like a Rhesus Monkey, so nimble and quick about it that I envisioned a grand career for her in the navy, the circus, or alpine rescue.  Then, with a flourish, she slid down the rope with an easy swoop to the end of the rope and hopped off the knot, landing straight as a pin. Just a tiny bit flushed.

I was still staring up at the ceiling, trembling. But I gathered my courage and reached upward for the next handhold and slowly, maybe four inches at a time, clenched my teeth, bruised my feet, and clung on for dear life ----and true to form, like an inch-worm, grimly kept my focus on the ceiling.

My classmates laughed themselves sick.  When I finally got to the ceiling, and despite Terry's fine demonstration, I had no idea how to get down.  There ensued a frantic conversation with the gym teacher, and if possible, my even more agonizing descent back down the rope began.

Now, instead of maybe four inches, I was making progress an inch at a time, and every time I let go, it felt like I must certainly go tumbling to the polished wood gym floor so infinitely far below.

By this time a very large crowd had gathered.

Not only my classmates but a really large audience from the school cafeteria, too.  I was sweating profusely, red-faced, and every time I inched down another click, my butt bulged out of my gym shorts as I tried to adjust to my new position on the rope.

I stared hopelessly at my short skinny forearms.  If God had intended me to climb ropes...

The laughter was no longer a dull roar.  The mere sound of all those people laughing at me was overwhelming by itself, but instead of trying to quiet the riot, the gym teacher was convulsed, too, clutching her ribs and her muffin-top belly like she'd never seen a scholar climb a rope before.

I forgot momentarily or never knew that you technically didn't have to climb the rope.  This was all voluntary, like Federal Income Taxes.  Technically, all you had to do was make a good-faith effort to jump on the knot.

I hung there paralyzed between heaven and hell, clenched around that rope like a python.  Inch by inch by inch I made it down.  When my feet finally touched the big knot at the end of the rope, I just hung there gasping for a full thirty seconds, dimly thinking I might live after all,  too exhausted and disoriented to even drop the rest of the way to the floor, listening to the laughter still breaking out in guffaws and giggles.

Finally, I launched off the knot  and landed with no grace at all on the tiny padded mat, still clinging to the rope with one hand to prevent a total collapse in front of my friends and detractors.

The whole school, some 130 students and the Principal,  had gathered for The Unannounced Event. Plus the Guidance Counselor. Plus the gym teacher, still red-faced and with eyes wet from tears of laughter.  I was completely drenched, soaking wet, in sweat.  I could feel the back of my gym suit smacked flat to my skin, fore and aft.

I didn't even think about the fact that I had actually made it back to Earth again.

I certainly didn't expect what came next, when all those people who had been laughing so uproariously went silent, nor was I prepared when they started clapping.  I was so dazed I didn't realize that I had suddenly merited all this adulation and looked back over my shoulder to see who they were clapping for.  Terry Bonneville wasn't anywhere in sight.  I was confused.

No amount of applause would ever convince me that this was a good experience, but in a way, it was.  It taught me a lot about myself, about the strength of my determination and ability to persevere, and also a lot about human nature.  People often laugh at you and then end up cheering.  Not that you do whatever it is for their applause.

All over this country, people are rope climbing -- not physically rope climbing, but intellectually and spiritually rope climbing as they come to grips with what has happened to their churches, schools, and government.

I hear the Prophet Isaiah's voice saying, "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all."  (Isaiah 7: 9b)

The predatory courts still caught up in their endless quest to collect war reparations that are not owed by the people standing in front of them, still wrapped up in the delusions of a long-dead and illegal Mercenary War, imagining that we are Enemies and they are Victors, still continue to misaddress American civilians on a daily basis.

The basics of the situation come down to this--- your public employees have occupied your country.  They have no authority and no contract to do this.  When they misaddress you and entrap you into their courts, what do you do?

1. You make sure that before you say anything that it is on the court record, by asking if it's on the record, and you bring as many Witnesses with you as you can.

2. You ask, "Where is the contract obligating me to obey you? Bring it forward, if it exists."  They don't have a contract with you, but they will probably cite some State of State Constitution or Statute, some County Code or other legislative doggerel.

3. You ask, "Where is my signature on any of that?"  They may try to put a front on it and invite a conversation about Social Contracts.  You listen politely.

4. You say, "I am not a member of the City or the District, and there is no evidence otherwise before this court. I do not wish to be impersonated or misaddressed by anyone."

In some cases they might bring car registrations or copies of other documents you did sign -- in which case you mildly observe, "I was misinformed and coerced  to sign that under color of law and conditions of deceit and non-disclosure." And then you clam up and give them nothing more to discuss.

There will be an eerie silence if you have a competent court.  If not, they will push their way onward, and try to sentence you or fine you or so whatever they were told to do according to their instructions.  But if they do that, you fall silent, too, waiting to appeal.

I have done this many times and so have many others.  In all but one case we have never had to go to appeal court, and the one time that happened, it came back against the lower court with extreme prejudice. The cases vanish and sometimes the whole courts shut down and lock the courthouse doors.  Vanished overnight.

The thieves flee the light.

This is because they have no valid contracts; the two valid contracts they could have with the People of this country, The Constitution of the United States of America and The Constitution of the United States, they have evaded and dishonored.

The sword of truth and the perseverance of the people prevails as inexorably as my slow progress coming back down that rope. It may be slow, it may be painful, but the safety of the solid ground awaits you, and a life lived in freedom, too.

By ninth grade I could prove that the rope climb was voluntary.  I sat on the bleachers and smiled.  Even the good faith effort to jump on the knot was voluntary.

Freedom from harassment.  Freedom from forced registrations.  Freedom from foreign taxation. Freedom from unsought citizenship obligations.  Freedom from racketeering.

Freedom, sweet freedom that our forefathers fought for, not mere liberty.

Yes, freedom and a country where every American sleeps snug in his bed and our schools teach science instead of political dogma, where our newspapers provide useful news, where our religious institutions no longer live in fear of the government, and our health and safety is not undermined by commercial corporations trying to sell us solutions to the problems they have created.

Well, there's the knot, and there's the rope.  We all have our Public Duty and our part to play.

Comment on Ann Vandersteel Info

 By Anna Von Reitz

Ann is seeing the elephant in the middle of the room.  It's coming into focus.  But she still grabs onto a tail and thinks its a trunk, or a foot and thinks its a tree every once in a while, so that can be confusing and disconcerting --- unless, of course, you already have the whole elephant in view.

One of the most pernicious mistakes I see young patriots like Ann making is the old "Act of 1871 Theory".  The Act of 1871 was repealed in 1874. Start there.  The British Territorial Congress adopting it didn't act in treason, because they were addressing their own business affairs, not ours.  That's another big step toward understanding.

There are six (6) Congresses possible: a Congress of the States of America, a Congress of The United States of America (known as a Continental Congress), a Congress of the united States of America (a Confederation Congress), a Congress of The United States (Federal Republic Congress), a Congress of the United States of America (British Territorial Congress) or a Congress of the United States (a Municipal Congress.

If you comb through this list above you will notice the many similar names applied to different entities and also notice the little changes in how the names of things are styled and described. These small changes, sometimes only the difference between a "T" and a "t" are often the only way we have of knowing which Congress is acting and which jurisdiction they are acting in.

Each one of the three Federal Constitutions issued in 1787, 1789, and 1790 belonged to a separate Service Vendor, one American, one British Territorial, and one Holy Roman Empire.  These three Federal Service Vendors are what were organized under the Constitutions and they were all just Subcontractors of our American Government.

This is one of the most overall pernicious misunderstandings.  We don't stand under any Constitution.  We and our States stand under The Declaration of Independence.  Our State Citizens -- "We, the People" --- act as Principals and Parties to the Constitutions -- but we don't stand under them.

The three Federal Service Subcontractors are the only ones who live and breathe and depend on the Constitutions for their existence.

If all the Federal Vendors fall into the sea, we, the actual Government of this country, will still be here.

The importance of the Constitutions for them is a matter of life and death and jobs and livelihoods, so our Federal Employees have always centered a great deal of attention on the Constitutions and attached great importance to them and generations of American schoolchildren have grown up influenced by this perspective.

But it is inappropriate for us to view the world from the standpoint of our contract Service Vendors.  We have to view the world from our own perspective as their Employers.  We bear the responsibility for enforcing the Constitutions and their limitations on our Employees.

Other confusions include not quite understanding the various kinds of citizenship -- those forms of citizenship that are active now and those that have been active in the past.

All three Federal Service Vendors had their own citizenry.

The original Federal Constitution issued in 1787 created our American owned and operated Service Vendor, known as the Federal Republic.  It's citizens were called United States Citizens and provisions for their Naturalization were provided by the Seventh Federal Congress. The Federal Republic has been dormant and vacated since 1860.

The second Federal Constitution issued in 1789 created the British Territorial Service Vendor operating as "the" United States of America. It's citizens were called U.S. Citizens and still are.  Most of these people work for the military services or are dependents of military employees.

The third Federal Constitution issued in 1790 created the Holy Roman Empire Service Vendor, which was primarily responsible for providing postal service.  It operated the plenary government of the City of Washington, DC, and later the unauthorized Municipal Government. It's citizens are called "citizens of the United States" -- the same Fourteenth Amendment citizens who were required to pay war reparations for their part in the Civil War as Allies of the Confederate States of America.

These Federal Vendors are not our American Government.  They are just Service Providers under contract to provide certain enumerated services and receiving certain delegate and enumerated powers to enable them to perform these duties.

The actual Government of this country is vested in the sovereign, free, and independent States.  The States operate in two jurisdictions, National and International.  As Nations, the States are composed of many individual Counties all joined together.  In international jurisdiction, the States operate by and through their unincorporated Federation of States, doing business as The United States of America since 1776.

Many people are confused by this and fight over whether the counties or the States should be organized first as we bring our States of the Union back into Session.  They think that because the counties make up the States like building blocks, that the Counties have to be organized first, but this is not the way it was originally done.  It turns out that the States were organized first and the Counties came later.

This is anti-intuitive until you realize that the States had to be organized in international jurisdiction and the basis of the land ownership established before the soil jurisdiction -- the top 6" of the land known as the soil -- could exist.

Our current situation demands that the States be restored first for another reason.  All our people were human trafficked offshore via False Registrations which reduced them to the status of foreign Persons entangled in a complex unlawful conversion and identity theft scheme.

When we jolt awake, we find ourselves like shanghaied sailors on our way to Morocco to serve in the French Foreign Legion.

We have to take action to overturn the False Registrations used to traffick our names and identities into the foreign jurisdictions of the sea and air,  and return to our lawful and natural political status as State Nationals --- people who take their nationality from their State of the Union.

Remember --- only Americans living in the States of the Union are owed Constitutional Guarantees from our Federal Subcontractors. Only our State Citizens and our Federation of States doing business as The United States of America can enforce the Constitutional limitations on them.

Remember --- our Vendors, our Federal Employees, have no Constitutional protections or Guarantees, unless they are Americans who claim their State National status as one of their two allowed political status designations.    All Federal citizens can function as Dual Citizens-- accepting the citizenship obligations of their Federal Employers and being free to adopt any other citizenship or national status they please.

It's because of this that many members of Congress identify themselves as U.S. Citizens who are also citizens of foreign countries like Israel or Ireland.  Municipal "citizens of the United States" can do the same thing.

This is in stark contrast to our own State Citizens, who must hold a unique allegiance to their State of the Union, so as to have no conflict of interest or obligation to serve any foreign government.

Ann, like many other ardent patriots, is catching on fast, but it takes time to learn the nomenclature, the identities, and the details --- and it is crucial to do this, because only by getting this information straight in our own minds, can we reliably and correctly teach others.

Take care, therefore, when learning details from Ann.  She is the kind of person who will keep digging and correcting until she gets it right, but it may take a while yet until she is a truly reliable guide.  This is through no fault of her own, and is just a matter of experience and time.

Follow Up on Texas vs Republic of Texas

 By Anna Von Reitz

Whether you live in a "Republic" or a "State of State" you are still living in an artificial man-made business construct that overlays the actual physical State.

That's why there is a "Texan" -- a living man who takes his nationality from Texas, the physically-defined State, and there is a "Texian" trying to create a homegrown replacement for the current State of Texas entity that isn't even American, much less Texan.

This whole flap goes back to the American-based Federal Services Subcontractor we called "the Federal Republic", in operation from 1787 to 1860.

In the years before the Civil War, the precise time frame that Houston and Austin and the others were forging Texas, the Federal Republic was trying to establish franchises in the States.

This created what appeared to be a competition between the States of States operated by each State, and State Republics that would do the same work as the States of States, but do it as Federal franchise operations calling themselves "Republics"--- after the Federal Republic sponsoring them.

This was basically an attempt by the Federal Republic to horn in on the "governmental services concessions" in the States.

Remember that States of States are all business entities that provide routine governmental services for the States the same way that these Republic businesses would have done.

If they had been successful, you would have had "Republic of Texas" Parking Permits instead of "State of Texas" Parking Permits --- and so what?

The quality of the services might have been better or worse, there might have been more or less red tape and more or less government interference, but whether the services were provided by a franchise of the Federal Republic or by a franchise of the State, it still boils down the same way.

Both the State of Texas and the Republic of Texas are/were businesses in the business of providing government services.

Neither the State of Texas nor the Republic of Texas are the actual physical State we call Texas and neither one is the actual government of the State.  That role is vouchsafed to the living people who make up The State Assembly --- an entirely different kind of organization.

Obviously, Houston, Austin, and the other Founders were, for whatever reasons, drawn to the idea of allowing the Federal Republic to boot up a franchise operation in Texas and run the government services concession in Texas, so they set up a Republic of Texas instead of a State of Texas.

Perhaps, then as now, the people in Texas were searching for another way to do business and organize things, without really knowing the pros and cons.

The Federal Republic effort to set up "Republic" franchises for itself in the States ultimately failed because: (1) most States viewed it as Federal encroachment; and (2) such a relationship would breach the intended separation between the States and the Federal Government; and (3) the Federal Republic was later rendered inoperable by the Civil War.

We have no way of knowing whether the Federal Republic would have continued its efforts to establish "Republic" franchises in the States, and no way of knowing whether the services provided would have been better or worse than the services that the people of Texas could provide themselves, if they simply rebooted their own State of State contractor and politely told the current British Territorial State of State Government to move over and stand down.

So that is what the "Republic of Texas" was all about and the reason that it ceased functioning when the Federal Republic shut down.

There is nothing mysterious about this, and there was no Magic Kingdom with special separate powers created by doing business with an outsourced Federal Government services provider and calling it "the Republic of Texas".

All the States of the Union remain--- in the words of King George III, "free, sovereign, and independent"--- to exactly the extent that it is in their own self-interest to be so.

Each of the States are in fact separate countries. Texas is in no way unique in that.

Here's the rub and the reason that our Forefathers chose the current system of shared mutual powers.

They could see what happened to Europe.

In Europe, a patchwork of countries were all constantly fighting and squabbling with each other over everything. Great burdens were imposed on the populations of these countries by the cost of supporting their own bureaucracies and currencies and tax systems and armies and  everything else.

Not only that, Europe's economic and infrastructure growth was stymied because of the inability of these countries to work together to do the simplest things --- like construct a railroad service from France to Poland.

Seeing this, our Forefathers almost immediately resolved to band together and agree upon certain "mutually agreeable and mutually beneficial" provisions which we see reflected in the Federal Constitutions.

For example, despite the fact that each State could lawfully issue its own currency, it wasn't beneficial overall to do so.  Having one common currency promoted ease of doing business, both between the States and with other countries.

Each State could, in theory, have their own standing army, but that, too, involved greatly increased defense expenses and would have opened up the door to endless wars and border fights and bickering, by which the larger States would be tempted to encroach on their smaller neighbors.  So, instead, our States mutually support one army, which is devoted to defending all the member States equally.

There have always been hotheads ready to throw the benefits of such cooperation away, short-sighted people who would be willing to throw these and similar benefits away without thinking about the consequences for themselves or anyone else.

So let's think for a moment what would happen if Texas "seceded" -- that is, removed itself from the Union.

Our country's Southern Border would now run along the northern border of Texas and Texas would form a large buffer state between the rest of us and Mexico.

Everyone would have to take on the burden of closing that border and maintaining it.  There would be border crossing checkpoints on every road going into and out of Texas.

Texas would have to issue its own currency and maintain it against international counterfeiting.  It would have to establish its own exchange rates against all other world currencies.

It would have to bear the total cost of these and a great many other services and responsibilities and build all its own infrastructure without Federal assistance --- and Texans would have to foot the bill for all this.

Next Texas would have to form its own treaties with at least all the neighboring States and Mexico regarding everything from water rights to maintenance of Texas's air space.

Because Texas has an extensive sea coast on the Gulf of Mexico, it would also have to maintain a navy and coast guard and bear those costs all by itself, as well as maintaining an air force and satellite systems.

Separate trade agreements would have to be formed between Texas and all the other States and all these agreements would have to be enforced at a cost to Texas and the other States, as well as between Texas and any other country.

Everyone doing business in Texas would have to exchange whatever currency they were using into Texas Goldbacks or whatever their new State currency would be called, and depending on international markets, that would make it easier or harder to do business in Texas than say, Oklahoma.

Texas would also have to provide its own separate insurance and underwriting for liability and international trade purposes, which would cost Texas a great deal more than it currently does -- and that would have to be passed on to Texans in the form of taxes.

If Texas angered or imposed upon its neighbors, those neighbors could retaliate by increasing tariffs on goods and services originating in Texas.

We could all be facing dozens of mini-trade wars on a continuous basis, with Florida levying a special exorbitant export tax on orange juice going to Texas, or even banning export of orange juice to Texas altogether.

Then Texas could retaliate by banning export of Texas beef to Florida.

We would have international tariff enforcement stations at all the roads going into and out of each State, as well as every port and airport, checking for import-export contraband.

I experienced a little bit of this in Wisconsin during The Great Margarine War, when Wisconsin, the Dairy State, refused to allow the sale of margarine in Wisconsin.  People were smuggling it in.  Later, the ban was relaxed, but the margarine sold in Wisconsin couldn't be colored yellow so as to confuse it with butter; it had to be sold in its natural white color, and then, after you bought the margarine, you could add a little dollop of special yellow food coloring to it.  This food coloring was included in the box of margarine as a separate item.

I can remember mashing that food coloring into softened margarine to this day.

This was just one product and one State going off the deep end trying to protect its markets.  Imagine all fifty of them going at it?

Our country would devolve into the same miserable condition that Europe has always endured, with all the same economic and trade disadvantages.

The cost of maintaining all of this "extra" bureaucracy and the loss of beneficial shared expenses would easily quadruple the amount of taxes levied on Texans, and they'd be standing there with their mouths open wondering why?

Our forefathers knew what they were doing and why they were doing it, which is a great deal more than we can claim today.

The remedy that the people of Texas need is really no different than the remedy that everyone in every State of the Union needs --- and it's right in front of our faces.

Support the actual State Government you are heir to -- not the State of Texas, folks, and not the Republic of Texas, either.

Texas has its own government: The State Assembly.

That's not to be confused with the State of Texas Legislature which acts as the in-house government for the British Territorial State of Texas that is currently running your lives and preying upon you.

Here are the proper and peaceful steps to restore your own government in Texas:

(1) Declare and publish your birthright political status and join your State Assembly.

(2) Once you have restored your State Assembly, restore your own State of State services contractor, known as "The State of Texas", not "the State of Texas" -- which is the British imposter you are dealing with now.

(3) Tell the British Territorial Subcontractor that your State Government is in Session and you have restored your own State of State services contractor, so it's time for them to go home to Puerto Rico.

Remember what we are teaching you about your own history and government --- pass it on and never forget.

Go to: www.TheAmericanStatesAssembly.net and get started.

Texans and everyone else can make contact with their own State Assembly and get on the right track toward a peaceful and lawful settlement of the issues.
