Before the Next S&@T Storm

Keep alert, folks. 

Word has reached us that the Biden Administration is cracking down on illegal assemblies.  Be aware that illegal assemblies now exist and in some cases, they are actively misrepresenting themselves and confusing their organizations with ours. 

In Oregon, there is a group led by Ron Vrooman, that calls itself the Oregon Assembly, but which has no affiliation with The Oregon Assembly.  This group means well, but they are confused about jurisdiction and continue to blow off their mouths and misaddress the foreign courts.  

I have told Ron to correct and I have pointed out the dangers of continuing to do what they are doing to no avail. 

The problem is that law enforcement can be confused and mistake one group calling itself “Oregon Assembly” for another group calling itself “Oregon Assembly” so by all means make them aware that there are two completely different groups involved and that yours is properly declared and recorded as The Oregon Assembly. 

A similar situation exists with the former California Assembly members who split off from our California Assembly and have adopted the ideas of the Separatist Movement in California and therefore stand to be charged as Insurrectionists.   They have nothing to do with us and are not members of our Federation of States, but they stole our seals and persist in calling themselves “ The California Assembly” even though they are not, and are merely attempting to redefine and commandeer what we worked for.  

Another case of identity theft. 

Both these examples show the danger that arises when groups use similar names or retain assets and property that belong to us when they go astray. 

There are other organizations springing up all over and calling themselves some kind of assembly or another.  The important take home message is that you have to draw the line and know which assembly you belong to. 

If anyone accosts or threatens you, or worse, some eager beaver LEO Junior Woodchuck First Class tries to arrest you as a member of an illegal assembly, stand ready to prove that you are not associated with an illegal group or activity. You are a member of the lawful and peaceable State Assembly guaranteed by both Federal Constitutions.  

Your assembly does not promote or condone any insurrection or secessionist activity or violence of any kind.

COLLECT Quicken, we beseech Thee, 0 Lord, the wills of Thy faithful: that they, more earnestly seeking after the fruit of divine grace, may more abundantly receive the healing gifts of Thy mercy. Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, They Son, who livest and reignest with Thee, in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end, Amen.

EPISTLE (Col. I. 9—14.) Brethren, We cease not to pray for you, and to beg that you may be filled with the knowledge of the will of God, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding: that you may walk worthy of God, in all things pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God: strengthened with all might according to the; power of his glory, in all patience and long-suffering with joy, giving thanks to God the Father, who hath made us worthy to be partakers of the lot of the saints in light; who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, in whom we have redemption through his blood, the remission of sins.

EXPLANATION 
In this epistle St. Paul teaches us to pray for our neighbor, and to thank God especially for the light of the true, only saving faith. Let us endeavor to imitate St. Paul in his love and zeal for the salvation of souls, then we shall also one day partake of his glorious reward in heaven.

And woe to them that are with child, and that give suck, in those days. But pray that your flight be not in the winter, or on the Sabbath. For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be: and unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved: but for the   sake of the elect, those days shall be shortened. Then, if any  man  shall  say  to you: Lo, here is Christ, or there: do not believe him: for there shall arise false Christs  and  false  prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect.   Behold, I have told it to you before hand: if therefore they shall say to you:  Behold, he is in the desert, go ye not out; Behold, he is  in the  closets, believe it not.    For as lightning cometh out of the east, and appeareth even into the west, so shall also the coming- of the Son of man be.    Wheresoever the body shall be, there shall the  eagles   also  be gathered  together.   And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven,   and  the powers of the heavens shall be moved: and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes   of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with much power  and  majesty:   and he shall  send his an­gels with a trumpet and a great voice, and they shall gather together  his   elect  from   the four winds, from the farthest   parts   of   the   heavens   to   the   utmost bounds of them.   And from the fig-tree learn a parable: when the branch thereof is now tender, and the leaves come forth, you know that summer is nigh.    So   you also, when   you shall see all these things, know ye that it is nigh, even at the doors.  Amen I say to you, that this generation shall not pass till all these things be done. Heaven and  earth   shall  pass, but my words shall not pass.

EXPLANATION When you shall see the abomination of desolation. The abomination of desolation of which Daniel (IX. 27.) and Christ here speak, is the desecration of the temple and the city of Jerusalem by the rebellious Jews by perpetrating the most abominable vices, injustices and robberies, &c., but principally by the pagan Romans by putting up their idols. This destruction which was accomplished in the most fearful manner about forty years after the death of Christ, was foretold by Him according to the testimony of St. Luke. (XXI. 20.) At the same time He speaks of the end of the world and of His coming to judgment, of which the desolation of Jerusalem was a figure.

Pray that your flight be not in the winter or on the Sabbath. Because, as St. Jerome says, the severe cold which reigns in the deserts and mountains would pre­vent the people from going thither to seek security, and because it was forbidden by the law for the Jews to travel on the Sabbath.

There shall rise false Christs and false prophets. According to the testimony of the Jewish historian Josephus, who was an eyewitness of the destruction of Jerusalem, Eleazar, John, Simon, &c., were such false prophets who under the pretense of helping the Jews, brought them into still greater misfortunes; before the end of the world it will be Antichrist with his followers, whom St. Paul calls the man of sin and the son of perdition, (II Thess. II. 3.) on account of his diabolical malice and cruelty. He will rise up, sit in the temple, proclaim himself God, and kill all who will not recognize him as such. His splendor, his promises and his false miracles will be such that even the holy and just will be in danger of being seduced, but for their sake God will shorten these days of persecution.

Wheresoever the body shall be, there shall the eagles also be gathered together. That is, where the wicked are, who have aimed at spiritual corruption, there punishment will overtake and destroy them.

This generation shall not pass till all these things be done. By these words Christ defines the time of the destruction of Jerusalem, and says that many of His hearers would live to see it, which also happened. But when the end of the world will come, He says, not even the angels in heaven know. (Matt. XXIV. 36.) Let us endeavor to be always ready by leading a holy life, for the coming of the divine Judge, and meditate often on the words of our di­vine Lord: Heaven and earth shall pass, but my words shall not pass.

PRAYER Remove from us, O Lord, all that is calculated to rob us of Thy love. Break the bonds with which we are tied to the world, that we may not be lost with it. Give us the wings of eagles that we may soar above all worldly things by the contemplation of Thy sufferings, life and death, that we may hasten towards Thee now, and gather about Thee, that we may not become a prey to the rapacious enemy on the day of judgment. Amen.

INSTRUCTION CONCERNING PERJURY Amen, I say to you.(Matt. XXIV. 34.)

The Son of God here, and elsewhere in the gospel, con­firms His word by an oath, as it were, for swearing is nothing else than to call upon God, His divine veracity, His justice, or upon His creatures in the name of God, as witness of the truth of our words. — Is swearing, then, lawful, and when? — It is lawful when justice or necessity or an important advantage requires it, and the cause is true and equitable. (Jer. IV. 2.) Those sin grievously, there­fore, who swear to that which is false and unjust, because they call upon God as witness of falsehood and injustice, by which His eternal truthfulness and justice is desecrated; those sin who swear in a truthful cause without necessity and sufficient reason, because it is disrespectful to call upon God as witness for every trivial thing. In like manner, those sin grievously and constantly who are so accustomed to swearing as to break out into oaths, without knowing or considering whether the thing is true or false, whether they will keep their promise or not, or even if they will be able to keep it; such expose themselves to the danger of swearing falsely. "There is no one," says St. Chrysostom, "who swears often, who does not sometimes swear falsely, just as he who speaks much, sometimes says unbecoming and false things." Therefore Christ tells those who seek perfection, not to swear at all, (Matt. V. 34.) that they might not fall into the habit of swearing and from that into perjury. He who has the habit of swearing should, therefore, take the greatest pains to eradicate it; to accomplish which it will be very useful to reflect that if we have to render an account for every idle word we speak, (Matt. XII. 36.) how much more strictly will we be judged for unnecessary false oaths! God's curse accompanies him who commits perjury, in all his ways, as proved by daily experience. He who commits perjury in court, robs himself of the merits of Christ's death and will be consumed in the fire of hell, which is represented by the crucifix and burning tapers, in presence of which the oath (in some places) is taken. If you have had the misfortune to be guilty of perjury, at once be truly sorry, weep for this terrible sin which you have committed, frankly confess it, repair the injury you may have caused by it, and chastise yourself for it by rigorous penance.

Is Our National Average I.Q. Really 68?

That's what I was told tonight.

The fruits of Jimmy Carter's Federal Department of Education on parade.

Here's some Fine Flying Factoids for everyone to catch up on.

The Federal Reserve System went bankrupt in 2009.

Federal Reserve Notes are military script I.O.U.'s issued against our credit by a foreign incorporated Subcontractor that has no authority to coin money (that's a right retained by the States of the Union) or create currency (that's a right granted to the Federal Republic that has been in mothballs for 160 years).

So everyone tell me --- if the "Federal Reserve System" TM didn't have the right to coin money and didn't have the delegated authority to create currency --- and has been bankrupt since 2009---- exactly what granted authority did they ever have to create debt for everyone else? And what kind of lunacy has prevailed since 2009?

If we and our assets and our energy are the source of the backing for their money, how are we indebted to them? Looks to me like they are the ones carrying the "National Debt" and we are carrying the "National Credit" but nobody is doing the math and balancing the books.

It is in fact impossible for a debt-credit monetary system to acquire debt, because every transaction in such a system is a "zero sum transaction". It carries no debt or credit forward, except in terms of payment.

Payment is a different issue. Payment involves actual exchange of goods or services---what's called "true consideration" not "consideration in anticipation". Thus, while there is no gathering of debt possible in a debt-credit monetary system, there is arrearage of actual payments piling up and up and up.

Virtually nobody in America has actually been paid for anything since the Federal Reserve Act.

That's why the antiquated but common language inserted into warranty deeds rings so hollow and has so many implications: "for the value of ten dollars paid in hand and other valuable considerations" is language that hasn't been honored in a hundred years--- and its acceptance in land transfer agreements invalidates those agreements by the millions.

Unless you actually grabbed Ralph Seller by the hand and plinked ten silver dollars into his palm, you don't actually own whatever you thought you were buying. You didn't complete the contract. He's still holding his palm out, expecting those ten silver dollars. Even if he will accept the payment forty years later, and assuming that he's alive, you'd better have ten silver dollars tucked away somewhere.....

But it gets worse --- what if Ralph Seller didn't pay ten dollars in silver in hand to whoever sold the property to him? Just extrapolate all the way back. According to that, the only people who actually own land in this country are those who paid the "gratuity" in silver, and those who owned land before the Civil War and haven't sold it, or those, like me, who recognized the ruse and changed the offending language to make tit match tat in the bargain.

At least we got the Queen's Title free and clear.

These are conundrums and swindles that are only possible when you have two completely different financial systems occupying the same space---one based on commercial paper, and one based on actual asset exchange.

We, Americans, have a system based on actual asset exchange. Our Federal Subcontractors are obliged to operate on credit that our American Congress is supposed to dole out to them in a responsible fashion, but what happens when our Congress stops meeting?

And nobody notices?

They substitute their "Congress" for our Congress, grab the bit in their teeth, and begin allocating large sums of our credit to pay and suit themselves.

And although its fraud and crime against their Employers, they've gotten away with it for over a hundred years.

Think about that.

Think about most land sales in this country since 1913 being invalidated. Think about the vast payment arrearages involved because you were never actually paid for anything.

Now, this all may be very difficult for someone with an I.Q. of 68 to grasp, so let me dope it out for you:

You've been cheated by people who owed you good faith service.

In addition to passing off I.O.U's as "payment" for goods and services, they've thrown their debts off on you and expect you to pay yourself for your own losses.

Clarity About Article 3 Court

Let us be very clear, all "district" courts are still foreign courts by definition. I have not encouraged people to search for or enter into Article 3 Courts, because I don't know what you will find there. By definition, this court belongs to and is part of the defunct Federal Republic, which hasn't functioned in 160 years, so what can we expect when we address it? Silence? Or imposters, entering its vacated offices under "conditions of emergency" ---- and only God knows what their agenda or obligations may be.

Our "Supreme Court" is a jury of our peers, and has never been anything different, but note, that in order to have a "jury of our peers" we must have twelve honest and impartial Jurors who enjoy the same political status as ourselves, so once again, I bring everyone's attention to the fact that ALL district courts are foreign and also the need for us to conduct our own courts and assume responsibility for our own justice system. As soon as we do that we can invoke Ex Parte Milligan 2 USC 71 and remove our people from THEIR courts and THEIR presumptions. Until then, it's an uphill battle.

Instead of wasting more time and more energy trying to answer or otherwise address their foreign courts, we all need to be forming our own jury pools, electing our Justices, Clerks, Coroners, and Sheriffs ---- get it done, people! Stop messing around and trying to avoid assembling your own Jural Assembly. You are only prolonging the misery of dealing with all these carpetbagger courts unnecessarily. I know you are all buffaloed and think that this is something someone else has to do for you, but you are wrong. You have the right. It is already agreed that you have the right. So do it and serve notice that your Jural Assembly is active and your Courts are convened to serve the population of Florida. Stand all the other courts down and take reference to your own "Supreme Court" --- the jury of your Peers.

To All State Assemblies -- and All State Coordinators

We have a job to do. That job is to restore our lawful American Government, including our States, which are all defined as States of the Union and are all members of the Federation of States.

Even if you are an American born and bred, if you don't agree with the purpose (restoring the lawful American Government) and the definitions ---State means State of the Union and member of the Federation means what it says --- you don't belong in a State Assembly.

Just as you wouldn't join the Knights of Columbus if you are not a Catholic, or expect a vote in the Chamber of Commerce without owning a business, you don't automatically belong in a State Assembly just because you were born in this country.

There are plenty of other people who were born in this country who don't belong either--- Marxists, Insurrectionists, Secessionists, Anarchists, Communists, Fascists --- they all have their own flavors and they all need to keep moving right on past our door, because that's not who we are and that's not what we are doing.

State Coordinators need to clamp down and evaluate people coming in and present them with the three choices they have as Americans. Ours isn't the only Assembly. There are two other District Assemblies that they can join, and if they want to, they can go form whatever groups they want--- "The Brotherhood of Secessionist Californians" for example.

If they are confused about what a State is or confused about what the Federation is and only want to fight, fight, fight --- chances are they belong in a District Assembly. So send them on their way and don't delay or wishy-wash.

We are building the American Government and bringing our States of the Union into Session according to the blueprint --- we function by committee and aim at building community on a statewide basis, we are the peaceable, law-abiding people of this country, exercising our right to self-govern.

We aren't trying to build something "new". We are repopulating our land and soil jurisdiction and operating our institutions according to the Public Law, enforcing the Constitutions, and minding our own business.

We are not here to fight, cheat, lie, steal, control, manipulate, slander, gossip, or indulge in any of the sins of the corporations which have acted "as" our government. We are here to stand for peace, community, good faith, common sense, and to be the government---which is quite a different thing.

About the British Crown Government

The British Crown Government headed by the Lord Mayor of London is over six hundred years old, and it is independent of the British Government, which it holds more or less in thrall.

It's the British Crown that acts as the Mercenary Force -- provides the Bar Attorneys and Banks and worships devils and reptiles at the Crown Temple. They have been at war with the Christian Church, and particularly, the Church of Rome, since their Templar Founders were forced to flee to Britain under force and their Grandmaster, Jacques de Molay, was slow-roasted by French Kingdom Officials on Friday the 13th, March 19, 1314.

It's a sad and ugly tale of misbegotten beliefs, religious suppression, intrigue, propaganda, self-interest, deception, and, well, pure evil.

Despite this, the Templars had one thing going for them. They could always make money, out of thin air, if necessary.

And, as a bonus, they had maps of the world showing the continents and ley lines (longitude measured magnetically) many decades before the King's Navy.

This gave them considerable power and allure to start with, and they improved upon their position as court physicians and magicians for the next several hundred years, gradually gaining control of the banks, theaters, and war-making machinery ------and always, always, pursuing their Nemesis, the Roman Catholic Church.

As you might imagine, corrupting and controlling the Church that censured them has been a long-sought aim, and in 2011, they hit the jackpot, when Pope Benedict XVI agreed to back them on certain claims regarding the transfer of Power of Attorney from Mooi/Soewarno to the lawful Successor.

The fact remains that on November 9, 2009, all the Tier One Banks in the world received a Swift message and a Statutory Declaration from Soewarno telling all of them who the legitimate Power of Attorney was, and none of those banks have ever received any communication contradicting those instructions.

As this was a matter of private trust interests, it isn't the business of any government to interfere. Not even the Church Government.

Pope Benedict XVI was misled by a simple legal deceit, a forgery, and a change of legal name imposed upon the legitimate Power of Attorney by the CIA, but the adoption of a different legal name proscribed by a Court or a Naturalization Service does not change the true identity of the man or transfer any private right held under the original lawful name.

So he is still the lawful Power of Attorney over all the assets, just as Soewarno decreed, and there is no credible evidence otherwise. The truth stands and the truth will out.

This entire mess, the corruption of the banks, the lawlessness of the corporations, the lies that have infested every corner of the globe, and the misery of the people on this planet, can be traced to the efforts of HSBC, which is the British-Chinese investment bank, deceit and interference by the CIA, unlawful impersonation by the UNITED STATES, INC., and self-serving dishonesty on the part of the major Tier 1 banks worldwide--- allowed by an old man who was lied to.

Contracts of Corporations Must Be Lawful or The Corporations Are Illegal

More than fifty countries, including "the" US under Trump, signed a contract giving Pfizer, Inc., "substitute executive power".

In other words, these foreign corporations in the business of providing essential government services, signed over their executive powers to one of the vaccine producers --- if you can imagine that.

Fortunately for all of us, none of these foreign commercial corporations have any power to sign over our executive power to Pfizer or anyone else.

They may have all shot themselves in the foot and been paid off to do it, but Pfizer, Inc., needs to understand exactly what it bought --- and did not buy.

It bought control of the bankrupt US, INC. Whoopee-ding.

It bought control of the bankrupt AUSTRALIA. Another Whoopee!

It bought control of the bankrupt UK. Hoop-la!

But we, the living people, hold Pfizer's charter --- and all their executives --- in our hands.

They made the deal with us a long time before they made any deals with the UN CORP and so, in all three jurisdictions, their contracts to act as a substitute executive power for all these bankrupt corporations means nothing.

We will shortly have a report on where Pfizer is headquartered and which State of the Union is responsible for letting them operate in this country, and all those officials responsible for its bad behavior will be notified by the actual authorities concerning its dismantling and liquidation and the arrest of its Board Members.

Meantime, a brief note to Pfizer, Inc. stockholders: sell now!

My Thoughts as Texas Reorganizes

I didn't suggest that this morning's meeting be postponed. I suggested that the meeting proposed for 1 PM this afternoon be postponed.

Not too long ago we had one strong woman in charge in Texas, and she was getting the job of organizing done with flying colors. It bothered me because that isn't the way our government is supposed to be structured. Our government depends on whole communities of strong people working together, not just one leader exercising executive power. That's what we are used to, but that's not the way the American Government is supposed to work.

I stifled my instinct on the matter in favor of hoping that additional Coordinators would step forward and the situation would resolve itself.

In reflecting upon all that subsequently happened, I realized how important it is to build teams of strong leaders in every State and make sure that -- as much as possible -- everyone is educated about the rights and responsibilities of their State of the Union, because every right comes with responsibilities attached.

One of the most galling things for me in addressing Vatican officials is that they always knew more about our history than any average American, and they would listen politely and nod their heads and agree that yes, what I was saying was true. And then, they'd point out that everything we were complaining about was all our own fault, our own failure to self-govern, our own failure to do our part.

Now, I might retort that it was their obligation to tell the American People what was going on, but they would only smile and quirk an eyebrow and observe that it's our country. How is it that we don't see what the situation is? Obviously, I saw what the situation was. I read the history. I knew the players. If I knew, how was it that all these other Americans remained clueless? Wasn't it more my responsibility to wake people up, than men employed by a foreign theocracy?

And what do you say to that?

We are all accountable. It is our responsibility to study and learn and know our own history, our own government, our own rights ---- and the responsibilities that go with those rights. Nobody else can do that for us.

No, the Vatican officials said, we will help you to the extent that we are required by contract to do, and we will obey the limitations of the Constitutions if you enforce them, but the rest is up to you.

What can I say to that, except --- fair enough?

The meltdown in Texas underlined the weakness of the executive model of government. It's convenient and easy to have only one person in charge, but then, everything hangs on that one person, and in their absence the whole structure has to be rebuilt. The wisdom of the American Government model built on committees and communities becomes readily apparent. It's not only our actual tradition, it's a better, stronger form of government overall.

So in reorganizing Texas there needs to be a fairly large number of Coordinators sharing the load and all pursuing the common goal of having a fully functional Assembly in place. As long as everyone pursues that goal in good faith, nothing can hold Texas back, but Texas.

I'm going to tell you all what the Vatican officials told me. It's your responsibility to build the strong, united, community-based government that our tradition demands. Nobody else can do it for you. If you want to self-govern, you have to do the work. And you have to build the organizational structure that supports self-governance, instead of clinging to the familiar executive power model.

After all, if you want an executive telling you what to do, you already have the choice of bowing to the Pope or the Queen, and they are both very competent executives, so far as that goes. Why bother choosing a home-grown tyrant?

The Vatican officials laughed at us a good deal. And they weren't entirely wrong. Many Americans recoil from the responsibility of self-governance. Many don't even have a clue of what that implies and the kind of group participation it requires.

Fortunately, in the years since those discussions, we have learned a few lessons and one of those lessons is that the American Way is inclusive and it has to be inclusive. It has to be big enough, broad enough, open-hearted enough to include everyone, because it accords everyone equal rights.

As Texas has come to grips with reorganizing Katherine Soulis has emerged as a strong leader, but she won't be the only strong leader and she won't be the only Coordinator. The burden of organizing The Texas Assembly and the range of opinions and communities to be equally considered is far beyond the ability of any one Texan to embody, and the single executive model is not what our tradition and our government structure demands.

So, yes, there will be more than one Coordinator in Texas and they won't all be cookie-cutter copies of one set of values, one age group, one ethnicity, or one anything else --- but taken all together, they will build one government and one community that embraces everything that Texas is and can be.

I've asked everyone to set aside their personal animosities and past squabbles, and make the decision to work together in good faith --- because it is a decision, just as love is a decision. Decide to accept each other, warts and all. Decide to focus on the work set before you.

Paper or Plastic?

Here in Alaska, it's a balmy minus 7, and I am forced to remember a day just like this about three years ago, when I came into town --- Anchorage --- to shop for groceries at a specialty shop.

I was told that the Anchorage Municipal Assembly --- part of the rocker popper Papist Municipal Government that legally and lawfully isn't supposed to exist outside of the Municipality of Washington, DC, had voted to ban plastic grocery bags and unless I wanted to carry out all my separate items by hand, I would have to pay an additional hefty sum to buy two reusable cloth totes....

When I asked the dull-eyed cashier if the Assembly was smoking whacky tabbacky when they passed this latest dictum, the young thing shrugged helplessly and said, "I dunno...."

Nobody seems to know how these morons got all these god-like powers, but we all get inconvenienced and pay for it just the same.

Then I read the highlights of the public commentary leading to this brilliant new "law", and learned that we were trying to be "more sustainable". Plastic bags fill up landfills. Plastic bags use non-renewable resources (oil).

I shook my head. Guilty as accused. Shoot the plastic bags. Hang 'em high! It's time for the Anchorage Assembly to DO something.....

And I reflected that this is the same group that will scream about all the trees being cut to produce paper bags and all the nasty, stinky pulp mills.

This is also the group that will whine loudest when their organic ketchup bottle slides through the strings of their ergonomically designed politically correct reusable grocery bag and the ketchup goes splat all over their Birkenstock sandals and cashmere socks.

So, admittedly, I had a dim view of this new ordinance right from the beginning and was inclined to boycott Anchorage as much as possible.

For the next several months, whenever necessity demanded it, I had to remember to bring my cloth bags and totes to the store, just like the Anchoragites, a rare Northern Branch of the California Coastal Luddites.

We had barely survived and become inured to this latest inroad against personal choice when the pandemic hit, and to my astonishment, the very next time I went to Anchorage for supplies, I was met at the door and told, that no, I couldn't bring my (presumed to be) germ-ridden reusable grocery bag into the store.

The Anchorage Assembly had voted to ban reusable grocery bags as a public health menace, and now, we were required to wear them (or their germy equivalent) on our faces, instead.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I stood staring at the beleaguered store manager who looked like a small vole looking for his next meal.

"Let's see here, I can't bring my reusable, sustainable grocery tote into the store, because it's made of cloth and collects germs, but I am required to wear a mask made of the same thing--- cloth--- on my face?"

The look he gave me made me laugh until my sides ached. He hadn't thought of that. I turned on my heel and tossed my "sustainable" grocery tote into the trash can on my way out, and I haven't been back since.

It's part of the same myopia that surrounds the subject of electric cars. People think they are more sustainable and better for the environment --- apparently, for no logical reason at all.

Let's see, you can burn gasoline directly to produce the energy to move your car, or you can burn other fossil fuels (including coal) to produce electricity, that then is partially lost during transit through the grid, and then store this energy your electric car's battery bank, which represents a massive amount of lithium and Rare Earth Minerals (REM's) that have to be mined and milled and transported and....all you've done is....make more problems for yourself.

To be specific, you've wasted more energy, added to the pollution problem at the level of the power plant, and added all the expense and environmental damage implied by your demand for lithium and REM mining.

You've also greatly increased the likelihood that you and other truly innocent people are going to die in a fiery blaze of glory, because the voltage produced by these electric cars when they are the least bit damaged can fry a bull moose at 500 yards.

As Emily Latella used to say, "Never mind...."

And the CEO's at Ford and GM and Toyota go along with this nonsense, not because they are stupid, not because they can't think, not because they don't know better ---- but because it is "politically correct", which apparently means that we've all been worn down to the intellectual and emotional equivalent of the most backward five year-old in town.

Back to the question --- how did these morons get all these god-like powers to dictate to everyone else?

Because "everyone else" wanted to avoid the job of self-governance, they handed that responsibility over to people who can't think.
