A British-American Voice Raised

 By Anna Von Reitz

Yesterday in our explanation of "Done with evil!" we wrote about the choice that makes all the difference between the chaos, poverty, violence, and misery that exists in this world, and the peace, plenty, security, and happiness that can exist if we make different choices.

Making different choices means embracing different values.

We don't need skyscrapers and casinos labeled as "stock markets".  We don't need to gouge and lie to and compete with other people, don't need to blame anybody, don't need to put on masks and play a role in a stage play written by someone else and directed by something else.

We don't have to pretend anymore.

If everyone knew and believed that love is the greatest commodity, they would have no difficulty waking up each morning and choosing to love.  They'd be eager to create more of what is so ultimately valuable and fulfilling, right?

Instead, millions of us get up each day and mount the hamster wheel and play the game, enslaved by "social mechanisms" and expectations we barely perceive.

Like the mouse in his maze, arriving at the lever he has to push before he receives his kernel of corn, we don't even question why this is the way it is, why there is a maze, why there is a lever, why do you get a kernal of corn when you press the lever?

Now, people aren't even getting a kernel of corn.  They are getting a piece of plastic that looks like a kernel of corn, and even the plastic, which offers no real nourishment, is poisoned to make the mouse sick and obtain more profit from him for medical "care".

We could have screamed, "For God's sake, wake up!" at the top of our lungs, but nobody would have heard the real message.  They would have jerked awake, blinked, wondered briefly what's going on, been annoyed with us, and gone back to sleep.

They would never begin to imagine that they are the value and the Valuer, the authors, the maze-minders, and the mice.

And that they could make a different choice.

Alan Watts is a British-American philosopher who describes the beginning of the awakening process.  Please take a moment to understand this organic process:

It takes time to wake up, so be gentle with yourselves and with everyone else.

While the whole process of awakening can often take years, the decision to love is relatively simple, because we never lost our ability to love and we can still make decisions.

So don't be distracted or confused and think you have to become a "spiritual" person and pay gurus and spend money on "healing" and go on fasts and pay temples and churches and try to mollify an angry God.  If God wanted toadies he could have made us toadies; instead, he graced us with free will.

It's your choice what kind of world you live in.  It has always been your choice.   And you can make the most important choice right now.
