By Anna Von Reitz
And you have a right to be weary.
You have been slogging for years. Some of us have been in the trenches of the Truth for decades, standing the long watches, freezing in the winter, sweating through the summers, with no peace, nobody applauding.
You've been attacked by the Revenue Officers of foreign governments, defrauded by these parasites, charged for taxes and mortgages that you never owed, harassed on your travels, suffered surveillance, injustice in the courts, and so much more.
Your faithfulness is now being rewarded, but it doesn't feel that way.
Not yet. What you feel is exhausted, maybe even disbelieving and disoriented.
Like the exhausted defenders of Fort McHenry in 1814, having survived days of the most vicious naval bombardment the British Navy could give --- the victors, those who were still alive to see the dawn, and who fell down weeping on the dead bodies of their comrades, were exhausted in every way you can imagine.
It always seems that you have nothing left at the end of such a battle. Your spirit has nothing left. Your body is weary unto death. You're numb. All you have right now is the dawn light and the silence.
The Lord of Hosts just brought you and your country through something insurmountable, and you won.
Doesn't seem like winning right now, does it? Instead you are looking around, wondering what it was all for. What did you win?
Was it worth it?
Right about now, all you want to do is sit down somewhere and quit.
Just quit. Like Elijah, sitting under his tree, saying, I've had enough. I am tired. I am lacking. I am not up to any more challenges.
You don't even know how to adjust to a world at peace. All you have ever known is war, war, and more war.
So all you are feeling right now is decompression, like all the air was let out of your balloon and you are left vaguely confused....and exhausted. Here's one of the best explanations ever:
But just a minute here, folks..... your strength is coming back. Give yourselves a few days. Rest. Sleep deep at night. Eat well. Praise your Creator. Praise the Earth. Love yourself. Love everyone else.
Bless the harvest. Turn your eyes inward and upward.
That old Devil always tries to cloak victory in the emotions of defeat, but the Wise know this and smile and say, time to think of happy things. Time to rest. Time to assess our needs. Time to make ourselves ready for a good winter season ahead. Time to share, to think, and feel deeply.
Time to be grateful for this victory we cannot yet comprehend.
