‘The Question Libertarians Just Can’t Answer’

Here comes the old founding fathers/slave owner straw man argument again!
You know, I was born into a world of heavy confiscatory taxation and wealth re-distribution and as such I am an actual participant. I believe this to be an evil scourge and work for its eradication.
Yet, I see someday that when this scourge is abolished there will be people who will look back at me and discredit my ideas because I participated in this evil.
The founding fathers were born into a world where slavery existed and they participated. At the same time, they put forth the groundwork to rid the world of this scourge without actually accomplishing it in their lifetime, which is unreasonable to expect.
The founding fathers who owned slaves did much to advance freedom and future libertarian principles. Ironic, though, that two of the founding fathers mentioned who did not own slaves (Hamilton and Adams) did more to retard freedom and actually were the promoters of statism, centralization and the federal thievery that haunts us today.
