I mean the Sacrament of Penance or Confession, and the means of atoning bought for us on the Cross by His Precious Blood, which are perfectly efficacious when we use them correctly, and with perfect contrition for our sins. Let's be clear. It's SIN that makes these wounds and regrets, and sin offends an infinite God. Since we are finite beings we do not have the ability to heal (atone for) those offenses within us, but must avail ourselves of the merits of Christ's redemption to make up for, or heal, those sins in our souls. Read what the Church has said over and over for well over 20 centuries.
There is nothing in this world as valuable as a clear conscience, and that is only attainable by the sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion.

https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11618c.htm

https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07402a.htmPaul Stramerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03988514858739600958noreply@blogger.com
